http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2013/07/video-of-deadly-hostage-standoff-in-walmart-released/ The story is a mother and her kids were shopping in Walmart when a guy grabbed a 2 year old from the shopping cart and threatened to kill the baby with a knife. The police eventually ended the...

Flight attendant brings ccw to airport

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/09/flight-attendant-tries-to-bring-loaded-gun-through-airport-security/ It sounds as if a flight attendant with a concealed carry permit forgets, I assume, and brings her weapon to the airport. TSA finds it and call the local police. The local pd has...

    No hazmat from Midsouth

Midsouth Shooters Supply is running a special through 3 Sept. No hazmat on powders or primers with $250 minimum. Use the code"freehaz". I stocked up on large pistol primers. The prices are pretty good, less than $26 / 1000 for cci.

    Sectioned 45 cases

I came upon this in another forum and thought it may interest some. The discussion was about kb's happening due to less than fully supported chambers. It demonstrates the varying thickness of brass among brands. Top row: A-MERC (thin), A-MERC (thick), BLAZER (brass reloadable), CBC (Brazil)...

    FNP 45 owners...

I have a FNP 45 which may have 1k rounds down the barrel. It has performed very well so far and no complaints until now. I noticed the front slide rails are peening and cracking on the forward edge. The good thing is they are replaceable and only $6 apiece. I haven't contacted FN, but doubt...

    Precision Delta 45 acp JHP

I ordered 2 sample packs from Precision Delta, 230 gr FMJ and 185 gr JHP. The 230 gr are labeled .451" and the 185 gr are labeled .452". I am a little surprised as their website states the 185 gr JHPs are .451". Are there any considerations I should be aware of as far as powder loading...

    Berry's plated 230 grain rn

I started reloading recently for 45 acp using Hornady FMJ 230 grain RN and HP-38. The powder loading started at 4.2 and worked up to 4.8 grains. 4.8 grains cycled my gun most of the time but I will load 4.9 and pretty sure it will cycle 100%. Berry's website says use low to mid range FMJ data...

Sellier & Bellot and Magtech primers?

Any thoughts on the brands in the title? Graf & Sons have them $100 for 5000, as well free shipping over $100.

Dillon 550 failsafe powder rod assembly

When I bought this press (used) the failsafe powder rod was not attached. Is there a reason people don't use it? Pros and cons? Thanks!

    My first load...

Ok guys and gals, I am so close to loading my first ammo I can feel the pistol recoil in my hand! My situation is I acquired a Dillon 550 and assorted extras from an estate sale which for the last month or so I have been trying to sort out, identify and understand. It seems I am getting close...

    Squib load question

This question is in reference to the posts I have read about squib loads. Will the primer, with zero powder, be enough to force the bullet into the barrel? I assume it can, although usually not far enough for the next round to chamber correctly, but surely a semi auto would not have enough...

    powder loading

Will a lead round nose bullet use the same powder load as lead semi wad cutter? I have 158 grain lrn loading for 38 special and can find data for lswc but not the lrn. I know the loadings are different for lead vs plated vs jacketed, but what about bullets of the same weight and composition but...

    45 acp - 45 long colt projectile

Another question for you guys... I bought a used press which came with quite a few bullets and brass in different calibers. Many of the bullets were mixed together. I have separated most of them into respective boxes by caliber, type and weight. My question, what are the dimension...

Where is your reloading room located?

This question is related to the proximity of your reloading bench and supplies to your family. I thought I had the perfect reloading area, a small room adjoining the living room and separated by french doors. My concern is I have a 2 1/2 year old son and to say he needs to inspect everything dad...

In over my head! Dillon 550

I was in the market for a reloader and seriously considering a Hornady LNL AP. I was looking at the classifieds and happened upon an ad for a Dillon 550 with some accessories. The accessories ended up being a single stage RCBS, 5 powder drop stations for the Dillon, at least 15 sets of dies, a...
