New Guy with AR-15 FTFeed Problem

Yes sir, you described the malfunction perfectly. I noticed The pin had walked out after the last firing session but simply pressed it back in with a mental note to keep an eye on it. Today the pin was fine probably due to the lack of a workout. The pin is still loose enough to move with just...

New Guy with AR-15 FTFeed Problem

I have a C-15 Sporter which up 'till this afternoon functioned fine. I Lock-n-Load, fire and the bolt carried group has stopped on the return stroke with the bolt lugs even with the center of the ejection port cover. The next round has been stripped from the magazine. The forward assist won't...

    reading aljazeera: stuff for thought

It's a typical "The world was a better place until the U.S. came along and screwed it up" leftist propaganda whine. The writer has probably never been outside CONUS and only "knows" what their contollers tell him.

Other countries want to disarm US, rest of world

The left has been trying this crub for years. If by some wild streatch of the imagination it happens. Just how would the left figure to enforce the treaty? Like we're just going to drop our heads and turn them in. Kinda of like the "War on drugs" or Phrobition or ..... hell, pick your crime. Not...

    Survival strategies -- long term

Great topic PAX. In a long term TEOTWAWKI it's not going to be a specific skill that is going to be wanted, so much as a good work ethic and being able to fit in. Not to say Doc's, mechanics, et.al. wont be wanted. But when the crops are ready to harvest, will the Doc set down his bag and pick...

reasonable objective of a surprise invasion

OK, friends and I used to "what if " stuff like this.. 1)Well financed, well trained, dedicated personel. 2) Recon completed, planning finallized. 3)Teams assembled, trained, briefed on primary and secondary objectives, and inserted into target area. We start a fire out side of LA,a big one...

feasibility of surprise invasion of major city?

The 10,000 on a ship is to difficult to pull off. Sleeper cells in suicide fashion would be more likely. Malls, schools, etc. for air access for their demands. Maybe a few bomers, snipers for "attention getters". Very possiable.

For those of you with trunk rifles...a question.

So am I a complete wussy or what?

Your not a wuss. You made a choice. For me it's a pleasure to just be in the woods and enjoy nature with out getting the fifth degree about where i've been. The taking of life is for food. There is no pleasure. :( A clean, quick killing shot and food for the table are the only...

Shot in the Head and Lives to Talk Smack

Head shots can be strange. A security guard where my mom worked took 1 to the head and it just went around his head and stopped. Our sheriff shot a perp in the forehead with a 45 acp and it knocked the perp out(still trying to find out what the brand was) and my son shot an attacked last year, 2...

    Do you carry at home?

I do because it's habit, mainly. I feel naked w/o it. But if I wanted to get down to bare knuckels, yes, I am somewhat "paranoid". Anything can happen at anytime, anywhere and if it does, I want what I need NOW. At home , work or wherever. I liken it to being prepared.

Fight or Flight - Do you have a plan for defending your home?

As you said it's all situation dependent. Evaluate your homes floor plan and identify how the invasion could happen, get input from your family, especially the kids, for perspective. Identify choke points. Replace the doors with heavier doors, upgrade locks, or just put a wedge (door...
