    Becoming a 38 Super junkie.

I have pretty much every caliber from 22 to 454 and at least to my ears the loudest round is the 7.62x25 Tokarev.

    Becoming a 38 Super junkie.

Interesting on the rechambered vs replaced. I just had Bullbery convert a 9mm Contender barrel to a .38 Super and waiting for that to be delivered. Will have to check if the caliber on the barrel was changed.

    Becoming a 38 Super junkie.

Thx for the reply. When I was comparing cartridge dimensions that thought had crossed my mind. Is there anyway just at looking at the barrel to determine that or will I have to try putting a wadcutter round in?

    Becoming a 38 Super junkie.

I'm awaiting receipt of a 1948 Colt Super .38 from an estate sale that is coming with both .a 38 Super and .38 Special Colt stamped magazine. Since the pistol is one of the "headspace on the rim" models I was assuming it would handle wadcutters but have been trying to find verification before...

    32 H&R Magnum -- a useful caliber, or obsolete?

I have 2 NEF R73's, a H&R 586 and a Ruger SP101. Always enjoy shooting them and certainly would not hesitate to carry the SP101. Had that and the 586 out to the range a few weeks ago and just stocked up on some ammo from http://www.georgia-arms.com/.

    Single Shot Rifles

I just picked up a H&R Ultra in 25-06 over and auctionarms. I have the scope, rings, and hammer extension sitting on my workbench and one day I'll get around to it. I also have H&R's in .223, .243, and 204 Ruger. All extremely accurate. Also have a 1st generation T/C Contender with a bunch of...

Reloaded ammo makers w/ brass exchange?

In the past of used http://www.bullseyeshootingsupplies.com/ for a number of different calibers. The price list isn't on the site anymore but their FAQ says that they still sell reloaded ammo with brass exchange.

    .177 Ammo Preference

I just successfully bid on a RWS .177 Pellet 350 P Magnum on gunbroker.com. There seems to be a mixed bag on suggestions on the best pellet accuracy. I'll be using it strictly for paper punching. Anyone have any suggestions before I buy some pellets? Thx.

FFL required to ship long-gun FROM south Carolina to another state??

Firearm shipping laws are federal (BATF), not state. The seller can ship a long gun to a FFL in another state without going to a FFL in their state. http://www.gunbroker.com/support/SupportFAQView.aspx?faqid=1118

    Too Long Away

I had not realized that is was almost three years to the day that I had not taken any of my rifles to the range until I checked by records. I remedied that today by getting a new range badge and starting out light with my Marlin 17VS and Ruger 10/22 RMB. The both shot as well as ever. I did not...

    New Stephen Hunter Book

Well maybe not so new since it's been out since December 2011. This is not a Bob Lee Swagger story but gives us the long lost son of Swagger, Ray Cruz, who was introduced in Dead Zero. I've read all of the Swagger books and this one I do not think is up to par with some of the others (most...

    .17 HMR Consistant Accuracy

I have a Marlin 17VS that gives me groups at 100 yards comparable to what I get with my Ruger 10/22T at 50 yards (all rounds touching). At 100 yards my Ruger 10/22M groups spread out a bit more than the 17 and 22. I always clean my firearms after use so I don't know if that affects the accuracy...

    Ruger 101 32 H&R Value?

Could not find any 4" barrel models for sale. 3" model on gunsamerica.com & rugerforum.net was going for $425. I paid $270 for 3" model back in 2003.

    Old Military Trainer .22 Rifles

I have a Mossberg 44US (along with a 44B and 144LSB) and a Romanian trainer. All of the Mossies are tack drivers. The Romanian has feeding issues no matter what magazine I use so I normally just fire it as a single shot.

    Beretta Jetfire opportunity; thoughts?

I normally take mine when I go to Florida or Arizona. Easily concealable and has one more round than the .22LR. It always fires but I've never gone over 7 yards with it. At that distance it's pretty accurate.

    Longest You've Gone without Shooting?

I've had detached retinas and cataract procedures that have prevented me from shooting for up to six months at a time; the latest being last year. Also, the outdoor range I frequent burned down last year so after I got the OK to resume shooting it was only handguns until the range reopened and...
