    I prefer the Ruger's weight. It just feels more solid in the hand. I never could tell much difference in the triggers between them YMMV.

    Without seeing it, I would guess your smith put too light of a spring in it. Mine is running the 9 lb wolf spring without issue.

    I would not think that you would have to use an ffl to transport your gun across state lines.
