    Winchester M-22 Recall

If retail is all they're giving and not replacing it then you might as well sell it to the flippers and gougers for five times what you got in it and let them deal with it. I have some of the m-22 bricks and free pickup and refund which will be their MSRP even if you happen to have a receipt...

    hammer or stryker

I prefer hammered firearms and single action mostly but I own a striker and enjoy shooting it. I just believe the hammered action to be mechanically stronger but base that on personal opinion, as stryker internals are mostly stamped parts. I'm sure someone will set me straight.

    bad bull/ultimate muzzle loaders

Thanks for some good replies guys. I think a Savage Model 10 is not going to happen, they stopped making it. I have to think a good after market barrel thats made for modern smokeless powder will do fine. Being able to repeat will be key.

    bad bull/ultimate muzzle loaders

Thanks for the link I guess I better hurry on the Savage, this is the last year its in production. I like it the Savage 10-ml and all the fine rifles they make. They are the best value in accurate firearms I can think of, at least for American made rifles. Thanks for the link.

    bad bull/ultimate muzzle loaders

Your right Sir the more I look around on this the more I think its just a bunch of hog wash too. Other than smokeless is cheaper to buy as most "fake blackpowder" propellants can cost $25 a pound and you use a lot MORE of it by weight. I have to think the 500 yard moa or even 250 yard moa is...

    bad bull/ultimate muzzle loaders

I was looking for a front stuffer and came across these long range jobs for $2500-$4000. I was thinking the idea itself is interesting. I might be over simplifying this thing but see if I'm not far off. Both of these front stuffers are basically bolt action rifles, Model 700's etc, that use a...

Making a crossbow from an old compound

Hmm.., I have an old Hoyt 80 lbs compound bow. Its at least 20 years old and I think it would be the great beginnings of a cross bow. The cables and string are old and need replacing after which I thought of making a stock with a shorted up riser for bolting the limbs to. Anyone think this is do...

    38-90-express

Gatofeo.., thank you Sir. The rifle was my Great Grandfathers 1885 Highwall, it came with its own Win. factory hand press, dies, powder scoop and bullet mold. The mold makes a 217 grain bullet, but sadly I'm down to my last 3 cases and one is loaded blank for setting the dies. You have given me...
