What is your favorite 9mm to shoot?

Darn you guys! I haven't shot a Browning HiPower before - which likely means once I do, I'll want one based on the high acclaim its garnering here in this poll. :uhoh:

    EAA Witness 9mm Magazine

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=359872255 Looks like there are several auctions where the price is around $25-$30 per mag - that doesn't seem way out of line?

    Surplus rifles

Things are loosening up. It will get better for milsurps again as well. Have patience - it will pay off.

    Any tricks for cosmoline removal?

Definitely watch a couple videos on YouTube - there are some excellent "how to" videos concerning removing cosmoline. I used Purple Power or some other no-name type grease cutter in a disposable tin pan and took the rifle apart into all its component parts. I used a hand held steamer to...

    9mm Carbine for defense?

I voted "yes". To clarify, I don't rely on a 9mm carbine as my first home defense option, but I'd be comfortable using one for such a purpose. I've shot a 9mm carbine (Ruger PC9) many times on the range - and really enjoy it.

Tired of Looking - Finally Gave In

Yep, I picked up 100 rounds of 22 mag at a LGS on a whim - wasn't really there to buy ammo, but rather to just look around. After the fact I realized I should have bought more.

    Du-ha underseat rifle storage.

I don't have one, but I agree that looks awfully slick.

    Cheaper Than Dirt Ammo Prices

Actually, I personally still enjoy receiving the paper catalogs in the mail. I guess I'm just old school. Though I do a lot of buying on the internet, I still enjoy looking at paper catalogs too. Don't get me wrong, I'd never purchase from CTD again. Their prices are crazy. But, that...

I love Ruger Blackhawks, so I added a new one.

I recently added a Blackhawk in 30 Carbine - and love it. It's my first Blackhawk, but I'm think it will have some friends in a different caliber soon!

    DoubleTap!

Not something I see picking up myself either, but I applaud Heizer for trying something different. Where else do you get innovation, etc. - but to try new things - right?

    Cci mini mags

Agreed - the MiniMags are safe in everything I have - and I have some older 22 pistols. I echo the comment that if I had to use a 22 in a defense situation - I would definitely select the MiniMags - most reliable rimfire I've ever used.

What's the most worthless gun that you won't get rid of?

A couple old Iver Johnson pistols I obtained over the years. They aren't worthless, but there's nothing special about them either. Still, I don't typically sell firearms.

    Qualms Buying Used Firearms

Only concerns I have is functionality. While I can check the basics, I'm not an expert gunsmith, so there's a chance I'd buy and overlook an issue. So I have a local gunsmith check things over before firing. As for the sanitary issues, like others have said, need to get over that in a hurry.

    Maintenance

Right or wrong, I'm not sure, but I use Ballistol lightly on my knives and I've been happy with their appearance. It's non-toxic, so it shouldn't impair what the knife ends up touching (meat, otherwise).

    Boresnake Viper stuck in bbl

I had no idea bore snakes were such a poor solution. I have one for several calibers. I'm thinking I'm done with these before this happens to me!

Wow! That is one impressive workshop. Jealous beyond reason. :what:

    Cerberus Capital

I'd really like to see the group get split into the different brands and have separate buyers of each. This would seem ideal to ensure control of so many manufacturers weren't under one umbrella.

    Colt 1903 - my INITIAL response ...

Nice job. Is it just the angle of the camera - or were you able to rub out the initals that were carved into the side? Looks nice!

    22 revolver single action help

Actually, I can't disagree with the suggestion to locate a used Single Six. But again, you're going to be in it for at least $300. You can still pick up a Rough Rider for what....$150? Again, it may not last your lifetime and it won't be one you pass on to your son, but if you're just looking...

    22 revolver single action help

There are people that will tell you otherwise, but I have a Heritage Rough Rider 22LR/22mag single action. It's a knock-off the Ruger Single Six. While I will agree it's certainly no Ruger Single Six, I've really enjoyed my Heritage...and for the price it has been a great revolver and cured my...
