I know what you mean. I shot an accurized Colt 1911 on the base pistol team when I was in the service, until I got challenged off the team. But it was long enough to spoil me for anything else, which feels like I'm holding a rock compared to the 1911's grip design.
Greetings everyone! hrshooter here and you can call me Dan. Looking forward to picking up my first two FAs after about a 30 year hiatus, both of which I decided on after researching the posts on them in THR. They're a H&R Sportster 22lr and Heritage 22lr RR. I know the RR isn't top drawer...
Don't have them yet but just purchased H&R Sportster 22lr and Heritage RR .22 SA6 after 12 years of air guns. Hope it's okay to say my first guns, which I wish had hung on to but needed the cash at the time were a Colt police revolver and Browning .25 auto, about 30 years ago.
