I'm not keeping my head in the sand I'm looking for an official announcement from Cerebus, Reminigton, or H&R 1871.
I have yet to see one.
If I search the subject on multiple search engines all I get is Forum posts from various forums.
I'm not doubting you as a source, I'm saying...
Funny Thing
I just this morning went to the H&R website and the only news regarding production was the fact that they moved from Massachusetts, and that they were dropping the NEF label. nothing about halting production or canceling the brand.
So I will ask is it possible this is all hooey...
Gentlemen My discussions are usually with people who consider themselves experts when they are just blowhards.
We all know that an Ex is a has been and a spurt is just a drip under pressure. not one of them has ever fired a .380 let alone done any research. I use the question as a conversation...
My response to folks who say the .380 acp is an under powered round is this, " Then you won't mind if I shoot with one to test your theory"
All of them have declined my offer and I'm not surprised as fact is fact. The .380 acp is much more powerful that people credit it to be, and I can put more...
My only .357 revolver is a GP100 6 inch Bbl. I love it but would not "carry" it unless I was hunting. My Favorite .357 that I own is a Marlin 1894C but that's another thread in another sub forum
Check out Stephen Camp's site as well
I'm very grateful to his family for keeping the site active. Buy his book it is great reference

I shoot like that, and it works for me,

I don't shoot competition I just practice shooting.

Mine shoots better than I do I can tell you that. Even bench resting I get the yips once every other shot and it throws off the pattern.
Others shoot dime sized groups at a 100 yds, and on a solid bech vice it shoots nickle sized groups for me. Like I said I get the yips.........
I own a Tracker in 44 Magnum, it will dance when you pull the trigger that is certain. More importantly you feel the percussion of the round in your chest depending on the load.
.45 ACP is a pleasure to shoot out of a 1911 compared to the tracker.
I hunt Deer with the revolver so I shoot it...
nice score. they are not actually clones they are unlicensed copies. countries behind the curtain were fuzzy about copyright and that made the reverse engineering and production easy.
I bought an 1894C some years ago
I am a fan of Marlin levers form the get go. I'm not a big fan of the Winchester Action or how complicated it is compared to the Marlin action.
That being said I am a bit of a spendthrift and would probably decide on the Rossi if I were in the market today.
If...
I was never fond of mine either, I needed to get some things out of storage about 90 miles round trip. A friend needed a 9mm to put in his safe at his office and he had a nice truck for hauling my stuff. He gave me $100.00, paid for the gas and bought me lunch.
I thought we squared up pretty...
