    Your biggest/fastest buying spree?....

The period of time between Clinton's first election and his taking office in January. Bought 100,000 primers, hundreds of pounds of powder, thousands of rounds of brass, Springfield M1A Supermatch and several dozen other firearms. Turned out to be a false alarm but when Obummer took office...

    better home defense

12 gauge pump shotgun (or 20 for a small recoil sensitive person) loaded with birdshot, #8 or 7 1/2. If your assailant is close enough to justify shooting, you'll blow a 6" hole clear through him but the birdshot will pose much less danger to someone in an adjacent room than any bullet. Plus...

    I lied

Several years ago I was flying out of New Jersey. I had flown in to Portland Maine earlier in the week for a combination work/bird shoot, so I had my Beretta O/U 20 gauge with me. I went to the counter in New Jersey and asked for a firearms certificate. The young lady at the counter couldn't...

    NAA mini revolver...anyone?

I have the Black Widow 22 Mag. Pretty worthless for accuracy but that's not what it's for. It's for that surprise when I'm wearing nothing but a t shirt, shorts and tennis shoes and you demand my wallet. Pressed against your belly, it will make an awesome hole. Try this: Shoot a watermelon...

    Why is dry firing bad?

Depends on the gun. I have some fancy, hand made Italian shotguns that ONE (1) dry fire will result in a broken firing pin. A new pin has to be hand made by a highly skilled gunsmith. The Italian makers could not dream of someone so crass as to dry fire one of their fine guns. There is no...

Are the guns worth the trouble?

What trouble? No permits, no registration, none of anyone's business whether they are locked up in a safe or laying on the table, behind the door, in the closet, etc. Of course if you have kids, a little Pavlovian conditioning is in order (the type where even 30 years later if they pick up a...

    22-32 cal muzzleloader

Traditions makes a .32 cal carbine with 1/48" twist, cheap gun but mine shoots great, .310 round ball with .010 patch. Power is somewhere in between .22 LR and .22 Mag. Ball weighs about 44 grains, 20 grains FFFG.

    Stainless Steel tumbling problem

I love the pins, ONLY thing that EVER got the INSIDE of the case and the primer pockets squeaky clean! I load only for extremely accurate varmint guns, from a little .218 Bee Bullberry Contender through .223AI, 22-250AI, 25/06AI, 7mm STW (yes, it can be a varmint cartridge, a VERY long distance...

    ???? On cleaning brass.

The stainless pin media and Thumler's tumbler is the best solution. cleans inside and out, primer pockets and all. Filthy dirty range brass looks brand new in a few hours. Tried all the rest, this is THE one.
