    new vortex products

I know stuff. I'm forbidden from discussing it, but it is unique in the industry. I'd hint at it, but I have a mortgage and a car payment and pets that like to eat. Mark H.

2-7x or a 2.5-10x. I have a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x32 FFP MOA, going on two years now, the 10x is more than I need, but I'd rather have it and not need it, than... Mark H.

suggestions and opinions S&B, Vortex, Swarovski

A red dot and a 3x magnifier would give you what you want and be lightweight, as an alternative option. I think the illumination and high quality glass are going to conflict with the lightweight requirement for most of your options. -Matt S.

suggestions and opinions S&B, Vortex, Swarovski

Agreed - MeoStar R2 1-6x24 RD or the ZD 1-4x22 RD if you're wanting "no magnification and use it similar to a red dot for fast target acquisition" Mark H.

Help me choose a tactical binocular with reticle

Dang, you lucky folks with two functioning eyes... binoculars are wasted on me and my one eye. If you're looking for compact (and weight savings for your bag) and are willing to use an 8x instead of a 10, I've had very good luck with my Solo R/T monocular...

night vision scope for my sig 522(.22lr)?

I'd put up another vote for the Photon in your price range. While it won't be better than Gen 2 or above, the digital night vision image you get with it will be better than most Gen 1 night vision. Michael C.

Using an Illuminated Scope As Occluded Optical Sight?

Sherman, set the wayback machine for the early 80's... I had an Armson OEG (Occluded Eye Gunsight) back in the day. it had a fiber optic and a tritium ampule, and was intended for use exactly as you describe. Is it worth it to get a C & R license?

I did it, just to say I did it once and I am pretty interested in grabbing a CMP gun, so it was worth it for me -Matt S.

How many mags per gun do you accumulate?

I prefer at least 3 for any gun I own My ideal number is 5 if i can have a variety of capacity. It is amazing how much more productive a range trip can be if you show up with all your mags loaded and ready to go. That's for pistols anyways -Matt S.
