I have a 64-3 in 38 spl. the cylinder was cut to allow for moon clips to shoot 9mm, would they have to hone the cylinder as well? Is it safe to shoot 9mm and 38 spl. from the same cylinder?
I have a S&W 64-3 (38 spl) 4", Today while shooting I noticed on the Federal steel cased 158gn. +P ammo had a bulge at the base after firing and the CCI alum. cased 158gn. LRN on two of 6 split the case, the cylinder has been machined to accept moon clips to shoot 9mm. Most of the 9mm shot fine...
Hi, getting into re loading and I keep on hearing not to use re loads for self defense. Aside from legal issues where the DA could say it was pre meditated cause you made your own ammo ( case here in Colorado on that ) is it safe to use re loads or are they just not reliable?
I am looking for a good, light weight easy to draw from holster for my ruger p345, not too expensive i.e. around 30 bucks, something for owb/iwb or similar but i normaly will open carry. Anyone out there that can help, so far no web site is helpful. Thanks ya'll.
Got a new 686-5, .357 mag, 6" barrel. Any one have any info on these, good or bad, revolver looks new, no play in the cylinder. Are there common things to look out for? Paid $650, maybe a little high, not sure.

Opinions on cocked with the safety on or de cocked with one in the chamber? obviously safety will be off with it de cocked, mine seems that the hammer does not touch the firing pin de cocked with one in the chamber and wont touch even if i push it toward the firing pin.
