Identification of a '67 Model 94 (and price check!)

I was offered this rifle today for $400. Seller says it's a 1967, but I don't recognize the version with the large handle. Can anyone identity this?

    Pre '64 Winchester 94

I finally coaxed the last digits of the SN out of the owner, I told him I wasn't interested if I couldn't get those and I wasn't going to make a 1 hour trip just to look myself...the last four digits are 7352, which would make this a NON pre-'64 rifle made in 1964. Close, but that only counts in...

    Pre '64 Winchester 94

The owner would not give me a partial SN so I could look up the manufacture date and that in itself makes me wonder if he's telling the truth about it being pre-'64. Is the SN located on the bottom of the receiver? If so you can see a few digits of it in a few of the photos. It seems to begin...

    Marlin 39A rebluing help

Here's the Marlin after around 10-12 coats of bluing. I'd apply more, but I think this is as dark as it'll get. Thanks for all the help guys, you made this much easier than it would've been.

    Pre '64 Winchester 94

Thanks for the explanation natman. I think I'm going to pass on this one. Too many things don't add up with the seller and the gun and I think a better opportunity to get a 94 will come my way.

    Pre '64 Winchester 94

Receiver photos. Is the discoloration on it fixable? Final verdicts?

    Pre '64 Winchester 94

Haha, well put. I may be young and still gun-stupid, but even I can see it's been used once or a hundred times. Thanks guys.

    Pre '64 Winchester 94

baylorattorney, what do you mean it took Winchester a while a while to get the nickel steel to "stick just right?" I think you're right though, it does look like it's a nickle steel version as opposed to just being worn. more photos to come. thanks again for all your input guys.

    Pre '64 Winchester 94

Here's a Pre '64 (still waiting on the SN) Model 94 that a gentleman has asked me to make him an offer on. I've been in the market for my first lever action 30-30 and this seems like a good opportunity to grab one. He says he bought the rifle new and has never even fired it. I have a few...

    Help dating a Winchester 1300...

Evening folks, I can't seem to locate anything online telling me how to date a Winchester 1300...I don't own the gun...yet. The first digits of the SN are L25504. Seller wants $190 and it looks to be in very nice condition. Does anyone know the age of this shotgun and is this a fair price?

Help choosing my 1st AR: SW MP15 Sport vs. Del-Ton

What about Palmetto State Armory? They have one with a chrome-lined barrel for $599.00. Anybody have anything to say about them?

Help choosing my 1st AR: SW MP15 Sport vs. Del-Ton

Thanks for the advice so far guys. I also forgot to mention that the Del-Ton comes with a hard case, a couple of mags, and a cleaning kit too. Not a deal breaker for me, but those kind of make up for the price difference anyway!

Help choosing my 1st AR: SW MP15 Sport vs. Del-Ton

Afternoon. I'm ready to purchase my first AR15 and as a student I'm on a tight budget. I'd like anyone and everyone's opinion on these two rifles if you have any experience with them...

    Marlin 39A rebluing help

Thanks for the information Wade. As someone with experience do you have any other pointers for me? I admit I know about as little as most about the whole process. Do you think I could do a satisfactory job just touching up the spots that need it rather than re-bluing the whole barrel? I'd say...

    Marlin 39A rebluing help

Thanks for the encouragement guys and I apologize for the hasty words of getting rid of it. I was just disappointed in myself for making a stupid mistake. Anyway, RC are you suggesting I try my hand at just refinishing the whole barrel or just the spots?

    Marlin 39A rebluing help

I'm a proud, new owner of a 1967 Marlin Golden 39A and it's also my first rifle. Yeah, I'm getting a late start at the age of 24! Anyway the barrel of this rifle has some bad spots where the bluing has completely faded. Would getting these areas repaired by a gunsmith affect the value? Here's a...
