One has got to believe this data is available, if for no other reason than I could see it being used as an argument for whether capping magazines sizes really is an issue or not in self defense situations...
Greatly appreciate the explanation. I always assumed the shells were for proof the gun had been test fired only. It also seems like this could be used to convict a innocent person who sold their gun to another individual, but I would assume the same states would have stricter individual to...
I remember my first online purchase. I went and read a dozen places online to make sure everything was "legal" (which looking back is hilarious given where I live). Now, I can't remember the last time I purchased a gun over the counter at a shop or gun show (still do some FTF with...
To be fair, there are specific situations with both that can be viewed as intent for one reason or another. Kind of like taking out a large life insurance policy days "before" finding out you have a terminal disease.
I personally don't have this insurance, but I do know some that do, and I...
Only one I have ever used around here finished early. He seemed like the kind of guy that liked to be a head of schedule all the time. Could be that he always quoted too long of a time, but given the options, I would rather have that.
A Keltec PMR 30 in 22 LR instead of 22 Mag (cheaper fun shooting). And since I am dreaming, I would love for it to be available in numbers where anyone who wanted one could get it.
The only one of those three at those prices I have seen since January is the Tula, and that was only once or twice. Saw some PPU as well but it was more like $12 a box (could have been 62 gr or something else, I stopped at the $12 price). Glad to hear at least some people are seeing ammo and...
CZ223, sorry, if I am up that early its for work only, not to buy ammo. My sleep is worth a little more to me than that. To be fair, I prepared for the worst, so not as worried about ammo as some might be.
And hey, maybe its just one part of the country that has the ammo disappearing this...
Great story. Good for you for being willing talk with the guy and enjoy the time shooting (much easier to do when you are getting to watch an old marksman :) ). Far to many of us "youngsters" are unwilling to give old timers the time of day, much less take time to learn from them. Lord only...
I'd actually suggest giving her the gun outright "as is" and then after she shoots it some, ask if there is anything she would like done to it (making the trigger a little "nicer" or the sights "easier to see"). That way, not only do you not do work that she doesn't want done (lasers are nice...
Walmart near me had some Winchester 22 in 50 round sleeves for $10 bucks a pop, and that's the first 22 LR I have seen since January there. Maybe the hoarders are running out of money. There seemed to be a lot of over priced, Walmart bought 22 LR at the last gun show I went to, but it didn't...
My general experience has been the nicer the rimfire ammo, the less likely the FTF (Failure to Fire). I don't think I have ever had a CCI Mini or Maxi-Mag FTF, but Federal bulk ammo has more than made up for those stretches of no FTFs.
As barnbwt suggested, try the building and modding route. Slower bleeding of funds and more feeling of accomplishment. Though to be fair, it only seems to slow me down a little
Hey, if he brings some decent press and new people into the gun owner community, he gets a pass in my book. Even if his guns end up way too expensive ;)
Good ol' CLP has always worked for me, but I have to second Schwing comment about the M-Pro 7 not having as strong of a smell. One has to wonder if less fumes might be worth a little more cash.
