Wanted to provide an update. I did some research and found that when doing a function test you are supposed to hear two distinct audible clicks when the trigger is resetting. From the factory my LCP custom was not doing this. I could only hear one audible click and then if I smacked the top of...
Recently purchased a new Ruger LCP Custom and took it to the range yesterday for the first time. The gun is having problems resetting the trigger when fired. Every other round or so will not reset the trigger, but when I cycle it manually it will work every time. This happens on multiple...
OP - The barrels sold by JSE are Wilson Arms, not Wilson Combat. I'm sure they are fine barrels, but thought you should know they aren't the same company.
For a trimmer I would use the Little Crow Gun Works, Worlds Finest Trimmer. It is around $70 and chucks in a drill. One of the easiest and fastest ways to trim brass.
For load data I like to use this Sierra data specifically for the AR platform. Unfortunately they don't have any Reloader 10x...
Taking the sandpaper to the inside of the seater seems to have done the trick. Maybe being a little deformed still, but not to an amount that I care. Thanks!
I'm reloading a batch of 223 Hornady 68gr HPBT, 25.8gr of Varget, and 2.26" OAL. This is a compression load and I am getting a ring of bullet deformation when seating the bullet. I am currently using RCBS small base 223 dies and was wonder if the RCBS competition seater plug will fit my dies and...
For presses it really just depends on how much money you want to spend. The Lock N' Load is a good press, but the Dillon presses are great too. I personally use a Lee turret press, combined with a Hornady case activated linkage, which drops my RCBS Uniflow powder measure.
How long does a typical local USPSA match with roughly 30-60 people take? I have only shot 3-gun and tactical shotgun matches which ussually have 60-80 people. The matches ussually take 8-10 hours, which for me isn't worth the 10 minutes of actually shooting that I do sometimes.
You can use a 13/64" drill bit for removing crimped primer pockets very quickly. I also use a Little Crow Gun Works World's Finest Trimmer for brass trimming. It looks like the same thing as the giraud, but you could save a little cash.
Check out Xtreme bullets. They make great plated rounds for a reasonable price. Plus $5 shipping.
I don't have a comment on the grain size as my glocks eat anything, and shoot accurately. I usually just get whatever is on sale for hollowpoints.
I owned one roughly ten years ago. Very accurate and never had an issue with any ammo. Field stripping is a pain so I never took it all the way apart. If I was going to do it again I would have gone with a kel-tec sub2000. Just because they are easier to clean, more compact, and I could use...
For coyote hunting most people would prefer a smaller round that moves quickly, so the only one of those that I have also heard of used for deer would be the .243 winchester round. Which is just a necked down .308.
