    500 S&W 1st Time Shooters

I always use glasses and plugs myself, but it`s not my place to be telling other shooters what to do.

    Kimber Model 82 Government Accuracy

I don`t intend to get into match shooting with this gun. There are none that are close by. Main reason I bought was that it was at a good price. Figure my gun collection is part of my retirement fund. Until then, I get to have lots of fun with them. :)

    Kimber Model 82 Government Accuracy

Not sure if this one was a CMP gun or not. I`ve heard that some of them were sold commercially.

    Astra Constable in 22LR

The little Astra Constable is very similar to the Walther PPK. For a small gun, it`s surprisingly easy to shoot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqAnvadnUK8

    Thompson Center Patriot Pistol

Finding a stock might not be easy. It`s been quite a while since these were made. You could always have someone make one, but it wouldn`t be cheap.

    Thompson Center Patriot Pistol

I have heard of this happening, but the stories have never been 1st hand. So who knows. I have never shot this one with more than 40 grains of powder behind a round ball. And only a few times at that. The load it seems to favor for accuracy is 30 grains of 3F under a tightly patched round ball...

    Thompson Center Patriot Pistol

I have never tried it on deer. This gun wasn`t made for real heavy loads. I`ve never shot more than 40 grains of powder in it. And mostly I keep it down to 30 grains or less. I have taken a lot of deer with the Thompson Center Hawken rifle in 45 cal. With a 90 grain powder charge and a 220 grain...

    500 S&W 1st Time Shooters

The recoil of the 500 is not that hard to manage once you get used to it and know what to expect.

    500 S&W 1st Time Shooters

The 1st shots were Hornady 350 grain loads at about 1,900 feet per second. Pretty stiff loads, but the 440 grain Corbon feels like it has more recoil because of the bullet weight. As far as actual muzzle energy, the Hornady might have more. I`d have to look up the velocity of the Corbon load and...

    500 S&W 1st Time Shooters

I was more interested in getting their reactions to firing the gun. Couldn`t do that and show the target at the same time.

These guys are all experienced shooters, but none of them had tried the 500 before

    Kimber Model 82 Government Accuracy

Depends on the gun. My Thompson Center Classic is very accurate, for a semi-auto. But it hates Wildcats.

    Kimber Model 82 Government Accuracy

Was only 50 yards. Guess I didn`t mention it because it was in the title of the video.

    Thompson Center Patriot Pistol

T/C Patriot pistols used to be pretty common, but you don`t see them much anymore. Last time I had mine out I decided to get some of it on camera. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAhKn9Q99fw

    500 S&W 1st Time Shooters

It`s always fun to watch someone fire the 500 S&W for the first time. Here are 3 guys trying one out for the first time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keQiiaypkO8

Troubleshooting a computer, with a shotgun

The computer carcass is in the back of the truck right now. Might put it next to the lawn mower just to remind it what could happen the next time it throws a fit.:)

Troubleshooting a computer, with a shotgun

I thought about using the .458 on it, but I didn`t think my shoulder would stand 100 rounds of it.:)
