    303 Britsh

Thanks for all of the feedback. I think the head spacing is OK as the brass does not grow when fired/ I'll try some slower powder and heavier bullets.

    303 Britsh

Hello All, I have a Enfield MK III ( 1918 Mft ). Its been sporterized but still very cool. It shoots about 2 MOA with cheap factory amo. My first attempt with reloads ( H 335 & 150 Hornadys were poor performers. I was thinking only about my shoulder when selecting the 150s. Is...

Clues From Fire Formed Brass - 303 Enfield

Thanks for the feedback If I've shot 20 rounds and the cases are nearly identical to factory ammo, does this not tell me had spacing and the chamber are good?

Clues From Fire Formed Brass - 303 Enfield

I have a new to me Enfield Mk 1, lll*. It's a 1918 BSA version which was reworked sometime over the past century. The bore looks great but I was worried the chamber may be eroded. I shot a box of factory brass and the measured the difference from the spent vs factory cases. They are...

    Sporterized Enfield MK1 No3 - Question

Thanks Krinko. It has markings all over. I guess if I was 98 years old and fought in multiple conflicts ( potentially ) I'd have some wear on me as well. Left Side of the Band Left Side of the barrel Top of the Barrel Back of the Receiver

    Sporterized Enfield MK1 No3 - Question

Thanks Robert. It would have taken a month of research to learn what you have in your head. I originally bought the gun because it was sporterized and I could scope it. Now that I've researched the weapon, I respect and want an original. I now see the sadness of destroying a piece of...

    Sporterized Enfield MK1 No3 - Question

Hello All, I bought this off the net. It's in pretty good shape with clean and strong rifling. The crown is a little messy but I'll hold judgement until I shoot. it. I'm trying to piece together the history. It looks like a pretty fancy sporterization. The for-end is bedded with some...

    Enfield #4 MK1

Looking at the above rifle. It's a Golden State Arms " Sporterized " version. Not sure what that means for sure. I've read that one can replace the rear sights with scope bases without redrilling. Can anyone conform or deny this? My goal is to have an inexpensive plinker and a fun...

    7mm Weatherby

Well the Sako likes the 140 TSX with 71 grains of iMR 4831. Clocked the load right at 3200 fps. I'll give it a few more trips for confirmation but at sub MOA, that all a shooter of skill level can expect. It looks like I have a winner. Now I just need a nice Muley to pose for me in a couple...

    7mm Weatherby

Thanks for the replys. I'm in with a least a box of 140'TSX. I have a can of 4831 which I will try. I have the gun, which is awesome and I like the idea of working up a new load for it. Never have messed with the Barnes before and thought I'd give it a go. My hunting grounds are in West...

A quick search diid not show much. I have a Sako M95 chambers for the 7 mm Weatherby which has mothballed for a decade or so. I'm thinking of using it this fall for deer. Im considering one of the Barnes bullets. Any advice on which one has the best chance to give me the least grief...

Anyone shooting a White Super 91?

No Excuse bullets are the way to go. Bull Shop also makes 504's but he's hard to find sometimes. I shoot the 460 No Excuses with good results. Plus, he provides great customer service.

    Hornady VMax 53 grain

Gamestalker, I'm a new reloader and have yet to master measuring to the lands. I've been using the COL published in the manuals. I would like to learn how to measure to the lands or set my length properly for my Savage. I'll do a search for the proper techniques but Im open for any tips.
