Are there any reliable one shot stop statistics ?

caliber not shot placement I just had to get in on this one. There's little to argue about : shot placement is more important than caliber. I'm sick of hearing that. Once you establish that fact, then we want to talk about which caliber is best. There's no doubt, I'd rather have a 45acp in...

Blues Bear, I've attached another picture, with a closer picture of the barrel. My last picture was so bad, it's no wonder you thought it said something on the barrel. Hopefully this is a better picture. There is no prining on either side of the barrel, and is is that plum color you refered to.

Modified for carry 25-2 model Hi Bart, Thanks for the info. It sounds like you had the same gun. Some of the modifications included: shortened barrel, smaller hammer spur, K frame round butt (with rubber grips) and a smooth trigger instead of the serrated one. I think the red ramp front...

    Revolver Pictures

Can anyone tell me about this revolver ? I bought it back in the early eighties through a gun dealer, who ordered it from John Jovino. I was wondering if anyone knows more about it? Approximate value, how many were made, etc. It looks like the Lew Horton model, but that was not who it was...

What's some of the funny gun stuff you've read or heard

pet peeves two of the things I don't like to see, but see quite often. Movies and TV shows which show things that aren't true. I've even seen it on shows like the Forensic files. They show a .45 ACP shell casing, and refer to the .22 caliber gun which was used in the crime. The other...
