I've had my DPMS for 4 years now and have about 3k rounds through it. I have not had one problem with this rifle and it has been 100%. It is nothing special and is just a run of the mill AR-15. For just range use it's fine, but it would not be the rifle I pick up for SHTF.

I carry a glock 26 and love it. I like the compromise of size and capacity over "pocket pistols"

For 700 bucks go with DPMS. I've put 5k rounds through mine without a single failure. It's been 100% good to me and I trust my life to it.
