    Kel-Tec P-11 Trigger Pull

McGunner, I don't know how old you are but I've probably had more practice with a revolver than you have with a knife and fork. And on the practice of carrying condition one, in the several times a firearm has gotten me out of a very bad situation it wasn't a quick draw and fire situation. I...

    Kel-Tec P-11 Trigger Pull

Yeah I see what you mean by the V-clip. Shortens the trigger spring so lowers the pull in pounds. really don't have that much trouble pulling the trigger it's just that I have four revolvers, a Python, a Trooper Mk III, a Webley MK VI and a pre-war S&W M&P and these are nothing compared to...

    Kel-Tec P-11 Trigger Pull

I've had my new Kel-Tec for a few months now, and it has been reliable in respect to firing and ejecting, It is just the size pistol I wanted, works with all three weights of 9mm, but I just cant get adjusted to that strong 8.5 lbs trigger pull. In disassembling it, it seems simple to get a...

    Gunsite 45 - wassup?

I guess I've been fortunate with all my guns. I just leave them as issued and they perform as they should. My 1911 made in 1918 is 100% as issued and shoots any hardball ammo I can put thru it. I did put the double diamond grips away for safekeeping and replaced them with WW2 plastic. I...

Your Gun Is Trained On An Intruder

Been there, done that. While in the Navy Reserve we were called out one night to patrol one of the areas of the city under flood conditions. The flood had receded and we were told to protect the homes against looting. No instructions were issued as what to do in case we came across an...

    Compact .44 Special Revolver?

If you want something in .44 Special with adjustable sights you might consider (if you can find one) a used Charter Arms Target Bulldog. These were made in the 70's at the Stratford, CT factory. Seems well made, has been dependable for me after I sent it to the factory for work on the hand...

Ammo help with Hi-Standard HD Military

Mine has fired anything I can get in the chamber. I haven't tried Stingers or Hornets or Yellow Jackets tho. I just had to put a new hammer pin in mine and I tested it with Remington Thunderbolts and it went thru a box without a hiccup.

Is a special court martial before 2002 a felony?

Gunquestion - Maybe I didn't read your post carefully enough but I didn't infer that you had received a bad conduct discharge. I also received a Special Courts Martial. It didn't follow me into civilian life, and I have bought many guns without a speck of trouble.

I think I just heard somebody lose a gunfight....

I went back to work after a weekend. The agent, a black guy, whose desk was next to mine, asked me what I did for amusement that weekend, I told him I went to the gun show. He said I ought to come up where he lived in the ghetto, he would show me a constant every day gun show.

    S&W Date of manufacture

And Greetings to you. Ala Dan No there is no letter prefix. Just the numerical. If it had a letter prefix would that be a newer or older gun? Thanks, Jon

    S&W Date of manufacture

I tried a search on this forum but no matches. I bought a S&W Model 36 3" barrell, square butt revolver for my daughter for her birthday last year and she brought it by today for me to clean and oil. I bought it used, in NRA Excelltent condition. I usually buy new guns but this one was so nice...

    Tips for conflict de-escalation?

Quote: "Nothing like risking your a__ for the honor of someone who doesn't exist." Do I infer from this that you would just smile and let it pass? But I guess, quoting Inspector Harry Callahan, "We know our own limitations."

    Tips for conflict de-escalation?

Quote: "She's a bitch," he said. I think if someone called my sister a bitch the next thing he would have received would be a straight left an inch below his nose. Then prepare for whatever consequences may ensue. And I don't have a sister.

    .455 colt /eley

Yes, that's because the rim is thicker in the .45 Colt. I have some U.S. made rounds stamped .455 Colt. These will chamber in my .45 Colt SAA but will not fire. The firing pin seems not to reach them. The .455 Colt is a longer round than the .455 Webley by quite a bit but I believe both have...

    .455 colt /eley

Did you have to thin the rims on the .45 Colt brass? I know on the ones chambered for the .455 Webley you have to.

    Colt Letter

Jim, this is what I was thinking too about selling it. I've never heard of it before or seen any for sale. Probably wouldn't bring much so I probably won't bother. I bet that was a shock to the former owner of that Colt cavalry model US marked gun when they got the letter saying it left the...

    Colt Letter

Thanks for the comebacks. However according to the Colt letter, the gun was shipped to a hardware store (company)? in 1882. So the hardware company is the original owner? Or the first buyer of the gun from the hardware company? Now that would be a challenge to find him. (Her>) My only...

    Colt Letter

I am the rightful owner. I bought it when I bought the revolver. Tell me how I can get it to a hardware company that existed in 1882 and I will be glad to get it to them.
