Beretta Neos or S&W 22-A or...

Just thought I would add my two cents. Just got back from the range a couple of hours ago. I bought a Ruger SR22 this week and finally got out to shoot it. Wow what a gun. This little pistol is a blast to shoot. It will be a fun plinker for me and a great training pistol for my wife and...

    Ruger SIX series DA revolvers

I have both the Security and Service blued revolvers. My hunting backup is the security six as the adjustable sights work better for me as a real tight shooter. The service six feels just a little better in the hand probably the tiny difference in weight. It is my night stand gun loaded with .38...

    Help picking a concealed carry

I owned a Taurus Slim for my CCW. It was very concealable and had a 7 rd mag. It was very accurate for a small auto. But too many FTE's.(failure to eject). I even sent it back to Taurus for a couple of months and was told it was fixed. It was not. In frustration I traded it for what was my...

    Why Own A 1911?

1.Cause if it's good enough for Magnum P.I. then it's good enough for me. 2.Cause I've never had a single misfire, never ever. Not one! 3.Cause if I run outa ammo, it makes a brilliant blunt object to smash with.

    BP Defense Gun Question

I've found out that I really have to push the caps down on my Pietta replica 1858 Remington. Once I started doing that, I've had no problems. Simple, I know, but until you do it a few times, you don't know how hard to push 'em down. Just my experience.

Interesting New Study of Bears vs. Guns

Like many who have no experience in this area, I too would have assumed that buckshot would be good bear medicine assuming a shot to the face would do the trick of atleast stopping the bear. But, the more I've read and thought about it, slugs and a good aimed shot would definately be the way to go.

Ever offered your gun at the range?

I've allowed many others to shoot my CZ 75. Many converted to CZ just as I did.

    Interesting statistical chart---Obama & firearms.....

So I was reading a story about an unarmed black kid killed in Florida by some dumba$$ community watch guy. This guy appearantly followed the "suspicious person" then confronted him. The kid, walking home to his dad's house told him where he could stick it and a fight ensued. The guy shot him and...

What is a good, practical gun collection.

I do have one .22. The Savage63. Accurate gun for a little cheapy. I am thinking of getting an 18" barrel for the Mossy from CTD for $75. I guess the think I lack is a battle type rifle. I don't like the term "assault rifle". I had a Ruger Mini .223 but I didn't care for it. I could add an sks...

What is a good, practical gun collection.

I'm just curious as to what you guys feel is a good, practical gun collection. I have been streamlining mine lately and think I have all that I need. That doesn't come close to meaning all that I want. When I say practical I'm speaking of a brace of weapons that will not only allow me to hunt...

When purchasing a gun, have you ever been "Delayed" or "Denied"?

Before I got my CCP I was always delayed. Somebody close to my name or social did something bad. They would always call a few hours later to say all was well. Since I got the concealed permit, I don't even have to wait for them to call.

Just made a new set of grips

I have a security six with 150 serial number. For those of you don't have any experience with that model, it means the factory grips suck (ruger grips usually do) and you can't get after market grips for them. I just ordered some cherry blanks on Wednesday to make my own. I have a drimmel and...
