Rubber Band on your pistol grip?

I'm a big fan of Hogue handall grips, but when things get warm and or possibly sweaty, even those slipped around a bit. I've become an eve bigger fan of Talon Pro grips/Skateboard tape. No slipping around at all, hand is locked on, and is not abrasive as some might think.

    Best of the 9mm micros

Can I mention the new Canik MC9? Seems like it's getting lots of positive reviews, as being exceptional.

    If You Were Glock CEO....

Seems like any significant change to grip or parts count will only result in loss of market share for Glock because their user base is so locked in to everything Glock. They could improve sights, wish they could improve trigger but i believe would require additional parts which is one of the...

    What's the deal with Canik?

I own multiple PDPs, and multiple Caniks. If you are going to be specific about the Walther model please be specific about the Canik model trigger you tried. The PDP trigger is very close to identical to the original SFX, and Elite SC from 5 years ago and older, in regards to take up, lbs of...

    Canik Rival Steel Frame

The TP9SFX original edition can be found for under $400 online, and I have seen the the SubCompact for $349 quite a bit lately. The best Caniks are the Rival models or the Elite Combat models with the Salient Arms collaboration... typically under $600. There is not a better polymer firearm for...

Who else is a fan of fiber optic sights?

Fiber optic outside, not a fan at indoor ranges

    Member consensus on Taurus

I've owned 4 in the past 20 years (1st in 2006, last one in 2021)... all new, all autos, (3-9s, and a .22) let all of them go because of just poor quality. 1 couldn't go a single magazine without some sort of malfunction. 2 couldn't hold onto their finish, and were just uncomfortable to shoot...

    Canik brand pistols

I've been a Walther and cz fan for a long time, both of those are excellent quality. I discovered Caniks several years ago, and have 8 now, with thousands of rounds them without issue. They look (upon internal inspection) and feel and operate as good of quality as Walther or Cz. They were...

CZ P09 owners : are they this fragile and unreliable?

Love my 8 year old P09 TB, super accurate, low recoil, high capacity, zero issues.....

Looking for 9mm for less than 600 dollars - leaning towards a Glock

This may have been stated before, but please make sure you can operate all the controls (mag release, slide lock/release) with just your firing hand without "breaking"(changing) your active firing grip to do so. .

    Caniks

Your gun should have come with a tool kit, and in it is 2-3 sizes of that mag release. Super easy to change out, and you can even completely leave all the release buttons off, and the remaining button is extremely low profile, yet still very functional.

Which one should I cut loose?

    Keep the CZ.

Good deal on a Beretta APX A1 Carry

Just tried one out at Sportsmans, and the trigger is horrible. Very crunchy, heavy with virtually no reset. Only reset when the trigger went back to its normal resting position. DAO? Trigger finger rubbed across the corner of the weird secondary recessed part of trigger guard/frame where the...

    Caniks

Canik mags have been coming in to a few places, but are getting sold out quickly. Have to subscribe to the auto notice if you want a chance at'em... it'll get better.

    Canik 9mm SFX

The Rival is fantastic. My favorite full size 5" striker, and Caniks Elite Combat is my favorite compact striker. I've owned or shot most offerings out there... from Sigs to Glocks, HKs, Walthers, CZs, Ruger, S&W, Springfield, Beretta, Archon... etc...

    Your Opinion - H&K VP9 vs. Walther PPQ M2 vs. Canik TP9SFX?

I've own all 3, with thousands of rounds thru them all and the Canik Rival, and Elite Combats are better overall and significantly better triggers than the HK VP9 or PDP. However ergos (grip) on VP 9 and PDP are best at about 9 to 10 out of 10, while Canik is close at 8 out of 10.

    Your Opinion - H&K VP9 vs. Walther PPQ M2 vs. Canik TP9SFX?

Can you tell us which review H.O. said the PDP trigger was better than the Rival?

    Caniks

I agree, thatched roofs actually feel better to the hand, much softer than 3 tab or Arch 80... must be better.

    Canik 9mm SFX

With all my Caniks I've run a few boxes of 124grn ammo thru them and stored them locked open for a few months. Zero issues when I've done this. You can also call or email Century Arms and they will send you a lighter mainspring free of charge, and should resolve any issues as well. Im sure...
