Bad day at the rifle range

The mention of a half-filled case tickled a memory from a while back regarding pressure wave detonation. Here's a link to help understand the phenomenon: https://www.nrafamily.org/articles/2016/12/20/ammunition-safety-mysterious-detonation-phenomenon/ Regardless the reason for the kaboom, I...

    Hillarious Marlin customer service experience

Greetings. Before you do anything to the rifle, you should probably send it to Marlin. You might accidentally void the warranty if you work on it. Hope you get this straightened to your satisfaction.

Do you clean case lube off

I believe it's recommended as the lube reduces friction between the cartridge and chamber wall. I've heard of being able to tumble the finished rounds in clean media to clean them up. Tis might seem foolhardy but there isn't enough bumping the primers hard enough to set the rounds off. However...

    Minimum Distance to Bore Sight

The reason I asked was that not all guns can be visually bore sighted. My Garand can't nor my SKS . My AR'S can't unless you remove the bolts. Now if you're using a laser, you can.

    S&W model 41

I bought a 41 to shoot Bullseye many years ago and nothing but trouble with match ammo. Gil Hebard was my go to guy and we tried a variety of things, including sending it back to S&W. Still ran like poo. It would FTE in the middle of a match. So, I traded it back to Gil for another 41. SSDD. I...

Do you grease or oil the bolt on your bolt guns..?

Moly 60% paste. Wipe it on lightly, cycle the bolt a few times, wipe off the excess. It has served me well for my AR as well. Great stuff as it embeds itself into the metal. Hobie

Ill Lt. Gov urges to pass gun bans now..

This state is so screwed up that I think we ought to flush the darn lot of them and start over...like that could happen. Just think..Blago got re-elected for crying out loud. Our previous Republican Governors were just as corrupt. I'd leave this state in a heartbeat if it was possible.:cuss...

Mounting pattern for Dillon Strong Mounts RL550/Square Deal B

I use bolts and wing nuts with my Dillon 550. It takes just a couple of minutes to R/R it to my bench. I also do the same with other items. Very convenient and the bench doesn't have anything sticking up such as the studs you mentioned. Hobie
