They're definitely coming here. I live one town over. My Mother worked in the building they acquired when it was a textile mill back in the mid 90's. 220,000 square foot facility and 54 acres of land. Ruger is only bringing in 20 employees. They're going to hire between 280 and 480 new employees...
Now THATS the type of info i'm looking for GooseGestapo! Would going with the Lyman #2 alloy be a good choice? I'm going to have to try to scare up some more 30-30 brass.
With the ammunition/component situation being what it is, i'm getting set up to start casting bullets for a few calibers. The 30-30 being the main one. It's either that, or sell my guns and give up. I'm trying to adjust to the new normal. Anyway, I've done some research on the matter, and most...
Thats one way of looking at it. But i believe that ammuntition that was selling for $180.00 bucks a case less than a year ago now selling for $725.00 a case isn't the result of increased demand and gradual inflation. Again, if lying to yourself gives you a warm-n-fuzzy knock yourself out...
You have lost your mind buddy. And just because someone only recently got started shooting doesn't mean that their rights don't matter. I know your type, "Thank gawd that i got mine before this bullcrap insued, those other idiots are out of luck" I guess you're not worried about principles and...
You can't go wrong with Dixie any way you look at it. From West Virgina to Florida, west to Texas and Arkansas, and everywhere in between is pure heaven on earth! All of the states comprising Dixie are as gun friendly as you can hope for.
I don't pay those prices. But there are plenty of people who will, and they're not helping the situation at all. As long as some scalper can find a lemming who will pay those prices things aren't going to get appreciably better. BTW, i don't wan't my above comment to be taken out of context. I...
I saw an M4 cook off once wile in the Army, back in 06. I've also experienced a slam-fire with an old Yugo SKS i used to own with Winchester white box. A guns "saftey" is between your ears. Thank God the rifles in question were pointed at the ground.
I hate that your daddy died. We buried my Grandpa three weeks ago today. My daddy and i found him in his camper. He was 76, and he passed peacefully in his sleep, thank God. I got his Taurus Judge, and my brother got his Benelli Nova. I survived Rocky Mountian Spotted Fever myself about 5 years...

$725.00 for a case of MagTech FMJ 9mm, and y'all think everything is going to be alright? LOL, y'alls optimism is admirable, but i am a realist. I fear what is coming. And it is coming soon.
Thanks MaterDei. The property on which i live has abundant water, as well as fertile soil. I have friendly neighbors, and we're not stacked on top of one another. I doubt the whole community could deplete the local springs. Getting back to the topic of discussion, i sure hope ammo availability...
I'm a young man with a mediocre job that doesn't pay me what i'm worth itchy1, i just got started shooting/prepping a little over 2 years ago. I figured medical supplies, clothes, and freeze dried food was more important in the short run. I'm also not a psychic! I didn't foresee the Sandy Hook...
Thanks for all the advice/recommendations everyone. I get upset easily. Maybe things will settle down in the coming months. I just expected things to return to normal quickly with the defeat of the "assault" weapons ban.
