I didn't see any reason to remove the silencers either.
I also agree that racking the slide was kinda dumb. He should have had a round in the chamber the whole time.
And the tactical movement inside the gas facility was sloppy.
I didn't mention these things to the wife because she...
1. Marlin model 39 .22 rifle.
reason: survival / hunting. shoots .22 shorts or long rifles. Simple, reliable, accurate and well made rifle. Cheap ammo, easy to store a lot of it, great gun for small game hunting.
2. Bushmaster AR15 rifle.

One thing I always liked about the Andy Griffith show was the attitude of Law Enforcement. I think Andy honestly tried to do the "right" thing whether it went along with the exact letter of the law or not. IMO, this is needed more these days...
but as far as gun handling and safety, I agree...
Where I work I'm not supposed to carry either....
(and that is NOT a P3AT in an ankle holster on my left leg)
What momma don't know won't hurt her... :D
I agree. My SW 629 carries well in a shoulder rig. That feeling of real power is hard to equal with an auto pistol, and out in the woods, all kinds of things can happen to a hiker.
Good post. I've noticed the same thing in myself since I started carrying a couple months ago. I think once you actually get your CCW permit, it really comes home what a big responsibility it is. I tend to be less reactive and more polite than before.
Be careful. If you're like me, you'll find squirrel hunting more enjoyable than deer hunting. I prefer it for several reasons:
1) I'm damned good at it. I started squirrel hunting with my dad when I was just old enough to handle a shotgun safely. I've been hundreds of times since. I know all...
I go out starting the first day of the season. I find that squirrels are easier to see while the leaves are still on the trees. As they move through the trees they shake limbs and the leaves make it easier to see. But this works best with no wind, of course. After a rain is even better, since...
I'm glad Florida passed the "no retreat" law. From what I can find in Mississippi code, there is no obligation to retreat before defending one's self.

Of course, the anti-gun nuts will do their best to make this seem like a bad thing...
I've owned the Bobcat, and if I had it to do over again, I'd get the Tomcat in .32 instead. I think any center-fire pistol is going to be more reliable than a rim-fire. I say this not from statistics but just from my own experience over the last 30 years. True, a .32 isn't a "real man-stopper"...
