.44 Magnum guys, help me decide

I'm somewhat of a 44 mag addict. My favorite Ruger is the Bisley. I also have the 50th anniversary flat top and a Redhawk. The Freedon Arms is nice but also costly. My favorites to shoot are the 29/629 revolvers.

Why isn't my 586 as good as my 28-2?

The 586 isn't stainless, it's the blued version of the stainless 686. It might be the springs in your gun or it might just need to be cleaned and lubed. Until it's had a bit of cycling it may not develop the nice feel you're thinking of. It may never be just like the 28 is. Wolff makes a...

    .44 magnum airlte

The 340PD is less pleasant to shoot than the 329 but there's not a world of difference. Neither is fun with full power loads. The 329 with the X frame Hogue grip is the better setup.

Ever have someone make fun of your guns at the range?

I sometimes sort of get made fun of by the guys at the range...........they don't take a female shooter seriously. I hear comments about the handgun or rifle not being the right gun for a woman...........and maybe what I really need is a single shot rifle or 22 pistol to learn on. Of course...

This Gun Makes Me Look Good!

Last year I ordered a USFA Flat Top Target in 44 Special for my father. It was made with 5.5" barrel and deluxe one piece grip. It is the finest made handgun I have handled. The trigger could be just a little better but the level of workmanship on this gun is amazing!

    I Love my Redhawk!!!

My first handgun was a blued Redhawk in 44 with a 7.5" barrel. The factory grips are ok but I ended up with Herrett's Jordan Troopers on mine. Nice gun!

    S&W 686 6" larger grip

Perhaps the X frame grip available from S&W would be more to your liking. It's my understanding that the way it's made it will fit a X, N or L round butt frame. You can get info by calling S&W. It's a bit thicker and covers the backstrap.

A question for you 9mm types...

I buy a lot of 9mm, but need to reload again. I buy 9mm jacketed bullets whenever I see a good deal on quantities. I figure 5 gr of ww231, a 5 cent bullet and a cent or two for a primer is as cheap as I can load it. I don't load lead in 9mm, I don't want the PITA of cleaning the barrel...
