Just watched this show for the first time. One scenario had a latino getting beat up by three guys on a city street. I gotta say my first reaction would be to draw and detain until police arrived. Granted this was shot in New York where nobody has a firearm, but I'm shocked they would do...
Its funny someone mentioned perimeter hedge... Just the other day I was driving down the interstate and noticed how there were several areas of the chain link perimeter fence where small trees and hedges have grown around creating a thick, and hard to cross barrier. I couldn't help but ponder...
Just came across this:

I can't believe someone would actually consider one of these as a HD tool...
Sure its a dummy glock they used to show this, but it still is advocating something that looks, well just dumb.
I don't like the setup that dmazur just told you about the offset magnet. The reason for this is if the door is wide open, your security system will still arm and you could think you are secure and be armed with a door open.
What strikes me most about this is both the manager and the shooter made no comment on the matter. Perhaps this is the best course of action in today's times to avoid the negative press.
My wife used to scream every time I cleaned my guns. She said it made the house smell awful (and it really did). I did two things to fix that problem:
1) Stopped using hoppes #9 and instead use Red Elk cleaner (custom made by my gunsmith, www.elkmontarms.com)

I still cant get over that reverberating metal sound when the hammer drops though... does it have something to do with the...
I'm with jr_roosa on this one... I bought a 686 a year ago and still can't figure out how to make the darn thing work. I've been looking for a place to slap a magazine in and can't find an extra hole anywhere?! :banghead:
I just took delivery of my latest wheel gun. It is a 686 plus 2.5" with lock. I purchased this gun because I loved my 4" 686 (no dash) that was made in '83. One of the best things about that old gun is the butter-like trigger pull.
So, I go and pick up the newer 686 from my ffl and pull...
I am assuming JShirley's comment refered to "two in the thoracic, one in the ocular-cranial."
I believe a paraphrase of Denzel in "Man on Fire" puts my opinion of this matter to bed: "Forgiveness is between them and God, it's my job to arrange the meeting."
I was sitting in church yesterday morning letting my mind wonder (I know, I shouldn't, but what can I say? The  got ahold of me!)
I sit towards the back of a fairly large auditorium with 4 entrances at the back. I always carry and had my PM9 with me. My wife and 6 month old were...
