I was always under the impression that you should clean your rifle after each range session. Otherwise all the gunk inside would keep building up and could cause corrosion or failures.
I'm surprised to hear people that shoot AR rifles say that they rarely clean them. I always heard that...
The shotgun you have pictured isn't made by Kel-Tec. Its a UTS-15. I assume you're thinking of a KSG

People that won't join the NRA because they don't want to "be on a list". Seriously I have a friend that said this but the same friend owns several suppressors which are of course registered NFA items...
If the left is eventually going to win and get their way eventually. Why not just save yourself some hassle in the future and sell all your guns now?
This defeatist attitude is ridiculous.
I really dont understand the first "compromise". It sounds like you want to take a current inconvenience for people shooting on military bases and apply it to anyone that shoots on public lands. Arent national parks/forrests considered federal land?
Also how would this increase safety for...
A lot of great advice so far. I'm really looking forward to my first match. I'm just glad I have enough ammo stockpiled to get me through a few matches....
Initially I was thinking about going for the production division since my gun doesn't have any mods.
I can see where it might be a little more fun doing the limited division though so I can utilize my standard capacity magazines.
I'm going to be shooting my first USPSA match in about a month. I'm planning on running my M&P 9 and I have a blade-tech holster for it, a double mag pouch and 6 magazines total. Is there anything else I need? Would it be wise to get another double mag pouch or isn't that necessary?

With all the negative news coming out of places like Colorado and New York I figured I would post an update on what South Dakota is working on.

Now it just needs to be signed by the governor.
Thanks for the posts. It sounds like they're worth a shot (pun intended) especially since everything else is sold out. These will just be for range/target use so if I have an occasional dud I think I can live with that.
Does anyone out there use Remington primers for 9mm? Typically I use CCI or Winchester but my LGS is all sold out of those. They have plenty of Remington primers though and I'm wondering if there is any reason they'd be less desirable than the others.
Also is it better to use the 1 1/2 or 5...
I received this response from Senator Tim Johnson. For those who don't know he's a Democrat from South Dakota and he's up for re-election in 2014. He seems to hint at expanded background checks but it doesn't sound like he supports the awb or magazine bans. He even confirms that legislators...
What would you guys choose for trap, sporting clays, general hunting. I'm wanting to stay under $700 and I found these two options at my LGS today.
1.) New Beretta A300 = $650
2.) Used Benelli Montefeltro = $670
3.) Wait for something else
If you pick the 3rd option please tell me...
I'm willing to bet the media used it as a generic term like "AR-15" and "glock" today to describe any firearm that looks remotely like it.....
Eventually they found a new poster child for "gun violence".
We're planning on trap mainly but probably some sporting clays as well.
Interesting you mentioned that. I just got back from my lgs and they had one with a 26" barrel for $699 and one with a few more dings in the wood for $599. What do you guys think of those deals? Would a 26" barrel be...
A couple friends and I are planning on joining a clay pigeon league this spring. Right now I have a Remington 870 but I'm thinking about getting a semi-auto. For a budget I'd like to stay under $700. Generally I like to buy US made firearms so initially I'm thinking about a remington 1187 or a...
Just think if on average each of those checks was for a $500 gun. That would be over $32,000,000,000 in sales. Looks like he did stimulate the economy.......
The problem with the car analogy is that every vehicle is registered to the owner and you need a government issued licence to drive one. Also you need government mandated insurance. I tend to stay away from using the car analogy with antis for this reason
