I understand why gun shops do it, but how come restraunts, stores etc. don't do it. I would imagine they pay the same fees as the gun shops.

Anyone know what country used the ventilated upper handguard on their AK/AKM that Copes Dist. sells?

LOL, I took off all of my non matching wood. Maybe I'll refinish it and sell it to some wood junky. I prefer the polymer Bulgarian mags over the metal mags too.

I bought a ventilated handguard gas tube assembly from Copes Dist. and it was a little to big for my SAR1. I took a metel file to the end of the gas tube and the little lip on the other end and it's as tight as you can get. I think the ventilated upper handguard looks alot better than the wood...

m39fan thanks! I can't get the cleaning rod to lock in place but I got the handguard on. The cleaning rod needs to go in maybe another 1/4" but it seems to be hitting the reciever. Now I got a ventilated upper handguard from Copes Dist. that dosen't wanna go on. I guess I'll have a hard time...

I just got my TDI lower handguard for my SAR 1 and it's not fitting. I'm trying to make up my mind on sending it back or shaving some plastic off.

Get a folding stock AK47 carbine clone, and a Glock. The AK can be put in a hiking style backpack and the Glock can be carried concealed in a holster. Both are reliable, require little maintenance, and hi cap spare mags are cheap.
