use 22 lr bullets?
I have a couple of boxes of 22 lr that got soaked. Most are duds.
I wonder if the pulled bullet would be about right to load in this revolver?

The Taurus 72 has a safety located on top of the bolt. it rotates and
blocks the firing pin. The Taurus also was made in a carbine version.
Taurus 172 was the stainless carbine version. I think both are similar
otherwise; but I don't know if parts will interchange.
fixing to crack your stock
if you shoot the camp 45 very much before you replace the original
spring with a Wolff 21# recoil spring; and replace the old recoil
buffer pad with a Blackjack buffer.
The original wood stock is valuable and most want it unaltered.

I see century has these for 500 with two 10rd mags.
Any one making 20 rd mags? I read somewhere about

Try this
If you insert a fired case into the chamber and let the bolt forward: then
take an air hose and a blow nozzle and blow from muzzle end. You can turn the gas valve and determine which direction reduces or eliminates the air
flow.
You have a nice rifle there. I have one with the same style stock.
It seems to kick quite a bit. The 30-S had a more forgiving stock
design. I think someone called these a "splinter" stock.
The curved steel buttplate doesn't help. I loaded some 150 grain

I have a nice P1 Walther. However the nylon holster
has no belt loop. It has 4 plastic studs; which require the
alice clip. What is this? Thanks.
I have 3 of the 520's; and all of mine seem to have one hump.
I have never seen the early version. Perhaps someone could
post a picture that would show the difference.
Sears used the Ranger name before WWII. After 1946 the name J C Higgins was in use. http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=203534&hilit=j+stevens
the link above has some good information on the 520.

My model 66 is also 410 gauge. The front sight is a gold bead.
It is threaded into the small hole at the barrel end.
Most full service gun stores will have a box of replacement
sight beads; and should be able to replace it for a small sum.
I bought one of the salt wood Winchester commemoratives several
years ago. I have seen several since then; and have learned to spot
one. The key here is the rusted butt plate screws. Apparently the
screws rust more quickly since they are in contact with the inner
surface of the butt...
What you have is a "salt wood" riflestock. Apparently Winchester
acquired some figured blanks in the late 70's. This topic is well
documented on this site and others. The rust will spread.
The Remington 30S. 257 Roberts is less common than 30-06.
The Weaver V-8 scope is vintage; but about 25 years newer than
the rifle. It was good in its day; but not very desireable today.
A Lyman Alaskan would be the correct glass.
I would say 1000 would be 400 too high for me.
