    7mm08 or 260 rem./ possibly a 270 if you want to hunt non dangerous game at reasonable distances. If you want to go 600 yds or so try a 280 AI. Edit; to include a low mounted quality scope in 3-9x40 duplex or my favorite a straight 4 power with a #4 reticle
