When you resized your brass did you make sure your sizing die is screwed all the way down. If you are not getting brass sized all the way that might be a problem.
Quick check is to size one and dump it in your chamber and see if it goes thunk
Here in southern Colorado January and February is time for skunk mating.I shot 15 last year with one coming up to the yard in the middle of the afternoon, looked like he may have been rabid. This year i've only shot one. I figure the drought probably had something to do with it

I am just curious if anybody else has went into the reloading room, looked around and tried to figure out how much money you have invested in that little room that has consumed so many hours?
I've been reloading for over 40 years and have accumulated a lot of stuff. I bought my Rock Chucker...
So everybody that has replied says just a few rounds. My thought was that a rifle that has 700 or more rounds thru it would have a lot smoother bore and would require less effort to clean.

Here is a few of my projects. I think powder coated bullets are the cheapest way to go.
I got tired of over paying for 30 caliber copper bullets, so I just make my own. Powder coated bullets do have limitations but for just practice and ALMOST copper bullet velocity they work.
At 16 BHN with a gas check hard enough? Yes if you water drop the bullet that will increase your hardness substantially.
I use 3% Tin, 3.75% Antimony, .3 % Copper and the rest lead. I water drop resize and add gas check. Use this in 308 and 22 caliber with no leading
Boyd stocks
I've got two and in my opinion you can't beat them. When I first bought them the cost $117.00 delivered. I figured I'd have to bed the action, but I shot the rifles and the shoot great.
Seems to me that stores are getting stocked from east to west. Prices in Tennessee are 25.00 to 28.00 a pound while here in Colorado it is 35.00 to 50.00 a pound
