I have a Handi Rifle and an 1885 Winchester, both in 45-70, and need some advise on whether to seat the 405 gr cast bullets out to touch the rifling or nearly so, and also to crimp or not crimp. I use both 3031 and 4198. Any information would be appreciated.
New member. I have two 45-70 single shot rifles. A synthetic stock NEF, and a Wichester 1885 short rifle. Enyoy both of them. They are my favorite rifles out of a battery of 15 or so.
