Super Blackhawk, and a Christmas reminder!

On the upgrade, what exactly does it do? From the short blurb on Ruger's website I never got a good understanding. Ideally, I would prefer to keep it as is. It is currently original as made in 1972.

    Terrible Real-Life Dilemma

No, there are limits where there can be no compassion, and regardless of their mental illness they ought to be put down like the dangerous animal they have become. For the sake of the kid, I hope he can understand that, and get his act together.

Super Blackhawk, and a Christmas reminder!

Made in 1972 (I found it on Rugers website.) This means it is definitely the old model. As far as reading the manual, I would love to, however this isn't a NIB, it is a gun given to me by a family member. It came minus everything, just the gun. Guess I will call Ruger and enquire about getting...

Super Blackhawk, and a Christmas reminder!

I do think it is an Old Model. I can open the loading gate with the hammer at any position.

Super Blackhawk, and a Christmas reminder!

A lot of us got new guns today. I hope everyone enjoyed the time spent with their families as much as I did mine. Today I got a Ruger Super Blackhawk. It was my first revolver. Before we went out to shoot it, I got the basic familiarity with it, loaded it, and walked into the woods. However...

Who got a gun for Christmas?

I did, even got to shoot it. Gonna make a thread later.

    1:8 or 1:9

IIRC, long range shooting in .223 tend to go for heavier bullet weights, as such, you would probably be better served with a 1:8.

"Neighbors Defend Texan Accused of Murdering Teen Over Snacks" - from foxnews.com

On a personal level I don't care a bit whether he beat them stupid, then executed one. I just wish he had done away with all 4 of them. Fine the man 300 bucks and let it go. Why the fine? 100 per scumbag he let off. That said, he only kills one? He says he thought one was lunging for him...

    Concealing in Business Casual?

Odd, I tend to tuck my shirts in on the tighter side of things. Might have to do with body design. Out of curiosity, exactly what holster is he using?

    Concealing in Business Casual?

I would check on how you are doing your tucking. I conceal with a CTAC, and unless physically touched nobody knows it is there, and even I can tuck it and think it looks appropriate.

    I am sooooo bummed....

I have heard that if you use the ip address you can get around it. Another solution is the IronKey, supposedly anyway.

    Prices Subject to Change

Speedo, he took your money, ordered, then upped the price? I wouldn't tolerate that. I hope you did not either.

    Gun/ammo taxes and wildlife conservation

In TN our money goes into a special fund for the outdoors. We at least do it right. As an aside, I have never hunted. I know I have helped and not used.

GOP Senators Ask Reid For Floor Vote on D.C. Gun Bill

Is this one expanded greatly to allow things like reciprocity? Does it provide pre-emption?

    White stuff on my guns

I forgot to mention, it was on my slings as well. In fact, all but one was coated in them. The one they didn't hit heavy was still mostly covered in good old cosmoline.

My rifle has fought against itself and won every time.

Loomis, I have both. The MN is more punishing. I wonder how Marshall is doing as well, haven't talked to him a in a while. He is a member of THR as well. (Marshall runs mouseguns.)
