Does ANYBODY sell a ramped blade style (plain black) front sight for one of the "new" Colt Cobras or Pythons (the ones with the set screw which comes in from the front)? My Colt Classic 1911 .38 Super with Novak sights (FO front and adjustable rear). I do believe I could hit a gnat in the @$$ with that thing! ;)

My vote(s) would go to the Colt Combat Commander 9MM and the CZ 75B. Truth be told, though, I have the most fun shooting my Colt Government Model .38 Super. Pricey ammo, but I find it to be more accurate than the 9MMs with less recoil than a .45 ACP.

The one in my Browning Hi Power had some sort of plunger dubisary behind the trigger which pressed on the magazine. I never did get a handle on how it worked. Traded the gun for a Colt Combat Commander 9mm. (1911s I understand!)

Hmmmm. Maybe I'd better think more along the lines of a .357 Magnum. All I do (hopefully) is target-shooting.

Just wanted some opinions on the recoil of a .44 Magnum (say, a 6" barrel S&W) versus the recoil of a .45 revolver with .45 ACP or Auto Rim ammunition. I've fired the latter (a Colt version of the Model 1917) but have never fired a .44 Magnum. Is there much difference?
