    brownells shipping

I don't like that they now hand over packages to my local post office from the big brown truck. That always adds a couple extra days of shipping to my orders. Even after the items showed "delivered". When Midway started that "surepost" delivery I just about quit ordering from them. I want to see...

I do not trust my pistol anymore

I've seen more limp wrist malfunctions than mechanical problems on almost all semi's. Does the gun behave the same with a different shooter? Get a grip man, it's not gonna bite.

    Taurus M44?

I've never had a single problem with my Taurus 44 magnum in all the years and ammo I've run though it. That one looks to have upgraded grips compared to the old Gripper style. I'd not hesitate to buy it all over again. Then if you like the 44 magnum and want one of those frilly expensive guns...

    Decent shoulder holster?

Look at the Galco Miami Classic. I've used them since the early '90's and the fit, comfort, concealability, and ease of draw is top line.

I bought my first online brass.

I'll just neck size it to get rid of any dings. As long as it fits in my chamber I have no interest in setting the shoulder back anymore to increase headspace. I've seen too much new brass ruined by friends over "resizing" it. At the very least back off the full length full sizing die a half...

What's the worst "money pit" gun?

Contenders are high on the list but only as much as your level of self control. I'm still looking for a 17 Fireball barrel. grrrr where where where???:scrutiny::D

What's the worst "money pit" gun?

The leggo of firearms has to be the AR15. I have a box of take off parts that are a nickel on the dollar to resell. Then again the rimfires are pretty expensive if you like to shoot them. $$$ As brass expenses go; the AK's fling it far and yonder making reloading them pretty expensive.

Which of these three powders for 45acp?

I've used Unique, HP38/W231, AA2, AA5, Blue Dot, Universal, and TiteGroup behind 230's, 200's, and 185's. The hands down favorite in my guns Para14 and Glock 21's has been the Titegroup. Low flash, very accurate and consistent, and very clean burning.

    Tumbling media thank you!

If it stays out of the primer pockets I'll be looking into it. Thanks for the tip.

Is there new Remington brass out there?

gunbroker is about the only place I've seen to find Rem brass. Buyer beware. $$$:what:

Where are reloading components available (Not a Discussion Thread)

graf's has been stocking hard to find brass lately. The bigger suppliers seem to sell out as soon as it comes into stock. good luck.

Hard time loading with plated bullets

I've had to flare more on these Rainier 185gr .45 ACP's plated bullets because the soft plating will peel away from the lead core unless started perfectly in the bell. They aren't bonded to the core. The do great unless you get in a hurry and don't have one square to the mouth before...

    "Scalloping" a Glock?

Thanks guys. I just never like the hook so decided with some sanding rolls on the dremel carefully took it down. I kind of like the look too but the real beauty is in how much more functional it is. fwiw I left the hook on all my larger Glocks as it is somewhat useful on them.

Colt New Frontier 22 front sight repair?

The Loctite 380 worked great. I used acetone on a q-tip to clean up the excess until I feel like it has fully cured enough to get more aggressive on the detailing. But I ran several cylinders of long rifle and a couple magnums through it just fine. It might not be as pretty as if a $$$smith had...

    "Scalloping" a Glock?

I have smoothed off the trigger guard hook on my G27 and it made it so much easier to stuff in a pocket or holster.

:) of course. But then I have the Contender to play with also. 16" of 44 magnum:what:

    Why didn't I just buy a Taurus?

I love my Taurus. It is an older 2.5" ported 44 MAGNUM model. I believe it was later called TRACKER with a longer barrel. I wore out the gripper grips and went with a soft Hogue. It is a little short for a #2 Uncle Mikes thumbbreak but that just gives a softer padded end to it. Recoil with the...

Colt New Frontier 22 front sight repair?

All good advice guys. Brownell's got me a tube of the Black Max onto the big brown truck so I'm prepping for the task. Reading on how fast this sets I'm curious if I need to make a holding jig so it is in the right place right away. There doesn't seem to be any old solder "link" that indicates...

    Which Blackhawk is your favorite?

I'll have to go with the awe factor of my super accurate stainless 10.5" 44 magnum Super Blackhawk.
