Gun stuff finds of the week!

Really, buying 8 boxes of ammo is not fair???? Its 8 freaking boxes, Prior to this people bought 50+ boxes... The problem is not buying the 8 boxes, the problem is people buying and flipping them that is reducing supply. When the price the flippers get makes it not worth it then the supply...

    Disliking on-line gun sales

Taking this up a notch, this is a disclaimer sent to me when trying to complete a private purchase of ammo. I told him to go pound sand. I have no issue signing a statement of fact (i.e. I am over 21, I can own this in my state) but under no circumstances will I sign a document saying what I...

Should I wait for a better deal on Ammo ?

I forgot how cheap it WAS... Back in Sept 2012 I bought 20rd boxes of PMC bronze .223 for $4.59 a box. I was packing some stuff and found the receipt in an old box. That was when Cheaper than dirt was actually cheaper than dirt.

Looking at the threads and the thread protector, it appears the threads do not come down to the shoulder.....The thread protector seems to have a "skirt" below the threads that goes to the shoulder....hmmm.... The brake comes with an indexing screw on washer and it will not screw down to the...

New Member of the Family is finally finished!

The flash hider rings like a tuning fork when you release the bolt. Since the prongs are the same length they resonate. SilencerCo has developed one that has uneven "prongs" on the flash hider that does not resonate.

New Member of the Family is finally finished!

On Dec 15th I decided that it was finally time to make the purchase I have been putting off. I went the the LGS and was looking at the LMT CQB, had it ready to go and he said, we also have a piston version. He brought that out and I walked out with a brand New LMT CQB 16" Piston, ACOG, 2 PMAGS...

    acog vs. aimpoint

I can see where the magnification could be an issue, but with the ACOG, one of the best features for me is the ability to see the reticule with both eyes open. Thus you are not magnifying the target but you still gain the benefit of the sighting system. I am new to the whole thing with ACOGs...

How much to list this Olympic Arms AR15?

Market for Oly AR's is not very string. the plinker plus on GB as been trending arounf 950-1000 in auction format. The BIN for 1300+ seem to be sitting. I took an Oly Plinker Plus to the gun show, lots of interest, $1500 was not an issue until I said it was an Olympic Arms..the general...

Does anywhere have AR15s in stock?

The gunshow in Columbus was just as bad. It was quite funny to see the price tags: you could see the original ink $599.00 and then there was a 1 placed between the $ and the 5 to make it $1599.00. the ink was a different color or simply squished in there. Several people commented and...

Sell, wait and sell, hold forever, what to do with AR15?

Not selling my better AR-15s, but a base model... hell ya I am selling it...No need for the base models and they are just bringing too much profit not to sell. One thing I have not heard discussed much is this: I know everyone thinks the prices have peaked and people think that they...
