It's easy to blame this and that and mis judge your equipment and ability. Too many give up too easy. I enjoy a good challenge. But I'm human, I get frustrated too. Thanks
I have leupold std steel rings and bases. I called Cooper firearms today. They were very helpful to talk too. Gave me their suggested factory round which was the federal gold match 168 bthp. I will get some. In the mean time I changed from a 20 power scope to a 32 power today. I shot a 3/4 inch...
The barrel twist is 1 in 10.
I have tried black hills 175 gr boat tail hollow point, and hornady 168 gr a-max.
I've put about 100 rounds thru the rifle.
I'm wondering if cleaning the barrel after every 5 shots matters or not.
I will work on the suggestions you offered.
I'm not above...
I just purchased a cooper model 22 in .308. I do not currently reload. I shoot 200 yards bullseye. I am only averaging 2 1/2 inch groups with factory ammo. I am using black hills and hornady a-max ammo. Should I expect smaller groups? Thanks.
casting
Great information. I went to a few tire dealers today and ended up with three five gallon buckets of wheel weights. Thanks for all the input. I hope others enjoy the replies. I will be looking for bullet molds etc at a gun show this weekend.
Does anyone cast their own bullets? Do you use wheel weights? Do you have to remove the steel clips? Do you have to pay for these weights or can you find them free? Is this economically a good thing? Thanks!
