I live in MT. When I hike I take either my SW 629 or my Glock 20. Limited to your choices though I'd go with your GP100 with some buffalo bore hardcast rounds or something similar. Of course though, this is a great excuse to pick up another gun ;)
I do not own a Glock 19 but I do own the 20 which I bought mainly for the 10mm round for woods carry. The 19 is a fantastic pistol for the reasons you mentioned and more but I stubbornly like to be different so I've gone the long route of trying to find a carry pistol that isn't a Glock 19 which...
Had a FNX40. Was a pretty good firearm. It didn't have any of the known issues that the early FNXs had however in my consolidation of calibers it was traded in. I did have some qualms with CS though. In the end my issue was taken care of but communication was very poor.
I have a FNS9 on...
I'm reading that open carry situations opened the debate for them and that they concluded that firearms all together are not welcomed even in jurisdiction allowed by law. This is a rather concrete statement:
"We request guests not bring firearms to Target."
I don't see anything about open...
$500 for gun and accessories; CZ P07 40 or 9mm. Fantastic pistols for their price and you should be able to get the gun and a holster or extra magazine for around $500.
I suspect that the individual disarming this crazed man while he was reloading is going to be a big deal. I've already seen it hinted at in more than one article. One article even mentioned in the title that he disarmed while he was reloading. It will be proof that limits on magazines work. Yep...
I just picked some up last week. Just a small tub of the grease to try out before I commit fully to the product line. I did the heat treat that is suggested with the grease. I haven't had a chance to shoot and clean it post heat treat though but I like what it did for the grittiness of my PPQ's...
I buy whatever I'm in the mode for at the moment.... If I have the money at that moment. Looking at what I own, it sure seems that I like polymer 9mms (1 Ruger, 3 CZs, 1 Walther, 1 HK) compared to everything else. Also seems I went through a revolver phase (and probably haven't gotten out of it...
I used it on a inexpensive shotgun. I had to use all 5 of my "chances" and got it down to their "cash" price which was like $15 less than their regular price. Didn't matter too much to me as $15 was on top of an already good price so I went to put the weapon on layaway and, come to find out, the...
This was pretty impressive. Thanks. I just ordered a tub of froglube over the weekend on a whim having never used the stuff. Looks like it was a good choice.
21-29
I carry a variety of guns depending on what I'm feeling that day and or doing. Excluding my side arm for work, these are the usual suspects:
S&W 60 3" 357 or
CZ P07
Woods:
Glock 20 or
S&W 629
Also just picked up a Walther PPQ which will be retiring my P07 which served me well. Unless...
Really depends what you want it for but a CZ (insert model here) is always a good choice for just about any situation. I own the CZ P07 and P09. Both are, in a word, fantastic. Also well under $600. In fact most of the time they're well under $500.
There are a lot of quality fire arms for...
The debate will never end I am sure. I just picked up a PPQ and I have a P30 on layaway (LEM). Since I haven't shot the P30 and only held it at the store I wont say anything about it. The PPQ though is a fine pistol and if anyone told me that they thought it was their favorite pistol I could see...
It's a drop safety on the trigger. My understanding is that the striker is fully cocked, held by the sear and also blocked by the firing pin block. If, I know unlikely, the sear and firing pin were to fail the gun would fire without having touched the trigger..... If I read correctly. I know...
From my reading, CIP has just standardized the proof mark for all their members. It's too bad, I liked the eagle. Had a chance to get a late 2013 PPQ with the eagle but it was a 40.... I guess I didn't want the eagle proof that badly ;)
