Anyone try OEM .22LR kit Sig or Beretta?

I have 22 conversions for most of my pistols, they are fun to shoot, Very accurate, and at least in the past, cheep to shoot. I have the Sig 220 with a 22 conversion, the first 50 rounds had some problems but after that it has worked like a champ.

    Help with CZ 75

So far my CZ 85, CZ 75, 9MM RAMI, 9MM 239 Sig will not auto close when slamming in a mag. I am not sure why one would unless there is a problem with the mag.

    Fun stuff to shoot

Shame on all of you new guys. In the old days we would buy a roll of Necco Wafer Candy. Double tape them to a piece of cardboard. back off 50 to 75 feet. then take turns, 1 shot each with a 22 rifle. Whoever hits (shatters) the most wins. Back then it was 5 cents a roll and they would dust ball...

Which auto loader has the worst trigger?

The worst trigger I have come across is the CZ 52. To say it is bad is an understatement.

    BVAC Ammo Warning!

I have shot many BVAC 10mms out of my pistols and have had no problems yet. I have also shot Remington's and Winchester white box ammo that ranged from squib loads to heavy recoil rounds. I think most ammo manufacturers have made bad rounds from time to time. That is why you see these company's...

Favorite Gun and Recommended Spare Parts

FNs I have both a FNP 9 and a FNX 45, You can buy all of the parts to rebuild the guns dirt cheap. example would be slide rails for $5.00 each. Plus they are very well made guns and are very accurate.

    Help with coaching

Some women (my wife) just do not like to rack a slide. But are a terror with a revolver. Even though I like my Sigs and FNs, she likes HER S&W 686 357 and Winchester 30/30. She is VERY accurate and skilled with both.

Should I? Ruger MkII barrel recrowning...

Do not do it!! The crown of a gun is one of the most important parts of a accurate gun. If the crown is damaged even in a small way your gun will not shoot as well as it dose now!

    Longshot powder

I use Longshot for both 9MM (124G lead RN) and 10MM loads. It works very well in both.

    Question about carrying inexpensive 1911's

If the gun works it is a great gun, no mater what it costs. Just make sure it it is reliable with the ammo you intend to shoot. I have had old WWII 45s that were dead reliable with what ever I put into them. I even loaded mags with empty caseins and hand cycled the 45 to make sure it would...

    S&W M&P 10mm - little birdy whispers...?

I wish S&W would come out with a 10mm. I have a 1006 and some other 10mm's. I think the 10 is a great cartage for power and accuracy. The reason the 10mm is not more popular is after the FBI deemed the 10mm had to much recoil for its agents (they kept asking for less powerful rounds) the 10mm...

    Does 10mm Launch Brass?

My 3 10MM's would launch the brass about 15 yards until I replaced the recoil springs with Wollf 20 pound springs, now the brass lands about 5 feet to the right of me.

    Orphaned 10mm (not again!)

For what it is worth, I would not part with my 1006 for $750. You got a great deal and a fantastic set of guns!

    PPK and PPK/S aquisition

I still own a PPK/S (Interarms) and shoot it occasionally. It is reliable with no jams of any kind. When shooting the heavy self defense loads there in a sharp recoil, but nothing painful. I Love how accurate the PPK/S is and I was able to score some ammo when everybody was grabbing all of the...

Anybody like .32acp just for fun?

Years ago I was able to purchase a PPK (yes a real PPK) I shot it for years. My mother in law wanted a small gun for self protection so I gave her the PPK. I think the main reason she loved that gun is it did not have very much recoil. Plus just for good measure I gave her husband (my Father in...

    CZ 75 vs Beretta 92

I love my CZ pistols, they feel like part of my hand, I have never had a problem with failure to fire or eject, even using reloads. Years ago I had a 92, it was a good gun again no failure to fire or eject, but it just did not "feel right", so it went to another good home. I have shot guns...

Would like some information on a 2 piece 1911 barrel

To me this is an interesting thread. As I mentioned I never knew there were 2 piece pistol barrels. I am now looking at some of my older pistols to see if they might also have multi piece barrels.

Would like some information on a 2 piece 1911 barrel

Man do you have that right. I can only guess how bad of an explosion that would have caused. What my brother told me, is that after he fired, it sounded like he was shooting an M1 and the last bullet had been fired (the ding clip being ejected). So he stopped shooting (Damn good thing). As I...

Would like some information on a 2 piece 1911 barrel

In defense of the two piece barrels, I acquired this gun about 42 years ago, the person that I purchased it from had it for at least 8 years. my brother acquired this gun about 11 years ago. I cannot even guess how many tens of thousands of rounds this barrel has had shot through it. Right...
