in a effort to find a cheaper soap for wet tumbling than the Turtle Wax Zip Wash that i and many others had been using
i tried Meguiars Ultimate Wash Wax
brass gets nice and shiny clean
primer pockets get nice and clean
and the wax seals the pores of the brass up so it wont tarnish right...
a good freind who i shoot with twice a week
bought a Match Champion a few months back
and he developed some sort of phobia over getting it dirty:banghead:
i had it here for a photo shoot one day
but he wont shoot it again, just the one outing!!
but i talked him into getting a blued GP-100...
brought home a new gal yesterday

ive come to the conclusion that my frame wants a longer sear than the ground down ones i have.
i whipped up a little drawing for your viewing pleasure

i had to give it a bit of fitting on the OD and i polished up the...
ive decided to give a go at hot bluing some of my parts
and yes i know it can be messy and dangerous
but rest assured i can take the necessary precautions (in a former life i etched psychical parts and circuit boards, not to mention stainless finishing)
ill only be doing small parts, frames...
