Tell me about the LCRx .22

I have a snub nose 22 LCR and a 38 LCR. I really like both of them. I wanted a revolver to plink with so I bought the LCRx in 22. The trigger and hammer were way too stiff. I did not enjoy plinking with it. I traded it off for a 4 inch Smith&Wesson 617 and never looked back. I highly enjoy...

Shot the LCR this afternoon...hand still hurts...

Try hard cast wad cutters. I get them from Double Tap. They shoot good and should perform well. They really cut down on the recoil on the snub nose pistols.

    The 5 Best Snubbie Revolvers

I’ve almost had them all at one time or another. Smith & Wesson revolvers are nice but they have never quite fit my hands comfortably. Now I have two that I don’t plan on ever parting ways with: Ruger LCR in 38 and a Kimber K6. Ruger is lighter and easier to carry but Kimber holds 6 rounds...

How much less recoil does 20ga have?

I can’t tell the difference. All I shoot is dove loads so I can’t speak for turkey shells, slugs, or buck shot. I bought a beretta 3901 in 12 and 20 and ended up selling the 20 because it recoiled very similar. I bought it for my wife and she didn’t like it. With that being said it was...

    Opinions on Ruger Speed Six

I used to own the same one except mine was the police six. Very solid and super easy to break down and reassemble. They are excellent revolvers.

    A pair of deals

Nice! I’ve always wanted one of those. The factory grips are sharp but I think that I would put the rubber ones on it if I was shooting it a lot. Great Find! Anything noticeably better than the standard GP100? I know they feel very well balanced but have never fired one.

S&W FPC and new folding 9mm PCC?

AR variants in the pistol carbines don’t interest me unless it is a pistol with the arm brace and that ship has pretty much sailed. The rifle versions aren’t nearly as handy as the S&W, Keltec, and Ruger.

    Ruger LCR Opinions?

I have an LCR in .38. I planned on getting the 357 but held them both and got the .38. I carry it with hard cast wad cutters or Hornady Critical Defense and it is very comfortable to shoot. In fact, my 15 year old daughter likes shooting it. I bought an IWB holster from Muddy River Tactical...

S&W FPC and new folding 9mm PCC?

I wish they would put one of these out in .45. I’ve been waiting for someone to do a .45 carbine. Beretta did make a .45 in cx4 storm but the magazines only hold 8 rounds and are nearly impossible to find. I will give S&W a thumbs up on the three included magazines and carrying case. I do...

    PSA Sabre line

Last year, I did a PSA upper with the FN 14.7 barrel pinned and welded and used the PSA lower that says US Govt. M4 Carbine. I bought their premium lower parts kit combo with upgraded nickel trigger and magpul furniture with the ACS stock. I purchased their Sons of Liberty bolt carrier and...

S&W FPC and new folding 9mm PCC?

I saw one for sale locally today for $599. It seems like a reasonable price. It looks a little awkward but it grows on you. The grip is pretty much exactly like the pistol. I wish they would have changed it a little for a more original look.

Painted my LCP II front sight

Orange nail polish has been on my GP100 front sight for over 10 years and hasn’t needed to be reapplied yet. You just have to make sure to degrease it well before applying and do light strokes and build it up. I use paint thinner/ mineral spirits to degrease it, and then tape off the area I...

    M-1 carbine…. Did I miss the boat?

Thanks for all of the feedback. When I passed on them in the past I really didn’t want one at the time. I was into shooting ARs and big bore revolvers. As I’ve gotten older the big bore revolvers are not that much fun to shoot anymore and I’m just looking for some fun recreational shooting...

    M-1 carbine…. Did I miss the boat?

The Ruger LC carbine is another interesting gun but the ammo isn’t any cheaper than 30 carbine and I much prefer the cool factor on the M-1. I saw the new Thompson Tanker .45 on the shelf and it is pretty cool too - just pricey. Anyways, thanks for the feedback. I’m just going to keep looking...

M-16 Forward Assist ... did you need it?

I have a couple of the gray aluminum mags that I have to use it with. I’m sure I should just toss the mags but it’s nice knowing they work with the forward assist.

    M-1 carbine…. Did I miss the boat?

I would likely give a little over a grand for an old one but I don’t think I can touch one for under 2k in good shape. That’s why I’m intrigued by the AO new production rifles. I saw one locally between 800-900 bucks. I got in the AR craze several years ago and I’m kind of bored shooting...

    M-1 carbine…. Did I miss the boat?

I haven’t been able to do any recreational shooting for a while. I’m getting ready to get a 9mm carbine and wanted to get something different. I’ve always liked the M-1 Carbines but for whatever reason, I’ve never owned one. I’m not looking to collect - just to shoot. I’ve been looking at...

Commander size 9mm 1911 - What would you buy?

I don’t want to start a 1911 brand war but start with a Ruger or Springfield and if it works stick with it. I’ve spent several years shooting 1911s. My experience is that you get diminishing returns with higher priced custom options. If money isn’t a factor get whatever you want. I started...

    Fantasy rifles

Like others, I would like a .45 carbine. I wish Beretta would update the cx4 storm design with a premium model with an aluminum fore end with mlok slots, a little less plastic all around, scrap the built in sights for a rail, and design a magazine that can hold 10-12 rounds flush and some...

    Keltec Sub-2000

I’ve considered picking one of these up for years. It is kind of ugly but appealing at the same time. My only requirement is reliability. For all of you that own these rifles, are they reliable? I would get the Glock 17 mag version.
