    Question Ball Size

I own 2 Uberti 1861 revolvers, both are very accurate with .375 Lee cast 79 gr pure lead balls. They are a tight fit in the cylinders and are easy to load. I like 24 gr BP with an over powder lubed wad.

Pietta 1851 Navy...can't fully cock hammer

Check to make sure your wedge is not pushed in too tight before you start messing with other things. Backing the wedge out a little will give the cylinder room to rotate without binding on the barrel.

    Best Gun For Dog Attack

I have a small Chihuahua mix that loves to go on long walks. He's been attacked by Pitbull's twice, once not so bad, but the second time was serious. I used to carry a small 9x19. Now I carry a Charter Arms Bulldog 2.5" 5 shot 45 Colt on my hip with 255gr bullets when we go for walks. I carry a...

    Charter 45LC Bulldog

Fiv3r, We have a PITBULL problem in my area. I was carrying a GP100 357 Mag. but felt a smaller package in 45 Colt was better suited for my needs! This Charter Arms revolver is definitely not a range toy, so I will not be putting hundreds of rounds through it...mainly just enough to keep in...

    Charter 45LC Bulldog

I'm working on 500 rds. through my CA 45 Colt. Bought a set of Eagle Secret Service grips to shorten grip length. I'm using it primarily for open carry with a Don Hume JIT Slide holster. Sits really nice under my shirt. Current load is 7.5grs Unique and 255gr bullet. Double action is smooth and...

Suppressed G17 - Recoil Spring Weight

I had a problem with my Glock 17 running a Gemtech Multimount. The problem was sound related as I was getting blowback noise due to the action opening up too fast. I switched to an 18 lb Wolff spring and it ran much quieter. Don't know if that would help you, but if your getting blowback, maybe...

    bad luck on new gun

I had the same problem with my Maverick 88. You can order the replacement bead from GunParts.com #37860B (Mossberg 500). Use red locktite and a 5/32" socket driver (I used a Craftsman driver for small parts). You might need to file the face of the driver a little to make it fit.

    300 blackout short stroking help

Your load according to the LYMAN 50th ed. is on the lower end for the Sierra 125gr bullet. (16.8-17.8 H110). You might want to try working up the load and see if your cycling issues improve. I would load 10 rounds in 2gr increments starting at 17.2 gr and see how it goes. You should not have any...

    Ruger Blackhawk after market finish

Thanks for the replies! I bought it as a shooter. It came with a 9mm cylinder and I reload for both calibers, so it ought to be a fun gun to plink around with.

    Ruger Blackhawk after market finish

Not so much. Kind of blends in with the rest of the sight. Hopefully it'll stay put. I'd hate to have to replace it or the sight due to the plating issue.

    Ruger Blackhawk after market finish

I recently purchased a Ruger New Model Blackhawk from a friend. The serial number indicates manufacture between 1990-1991. In December 1991 a previous owner had it finished with a product listed as ENLON. It looks like a light pewter finish, but I can't find anything about it. Has anyone on the...

What spare parts to keep for a Ruger GP100.

Bought a Security Six in the early 70's, recently semi-retired it after getting a GP 100. After thousands of rounds, never had to replace anything. Don't expcect the GP to be any different.
