    Paddle Holster?

I own FOBUS regular paddle holsters for 2 Glock 45s, a Kimber 45, a Colt Lightweight Officers 45, a Springfield XDs 45, and a Glock 9mm. I find them comfortable to carry, very concealable (except maybe for the Glock 30), and very secure. Never had a problem with one coming off my belt or...

    Understanding Florida's concealed carry law

This is part of the Illinois CCW law as well. Without looking, it basically says that any establishment which derives 51% of its revenues from booze is off limits for CCW. I don't think its been tested in the courts as yet, but I suspect they will try to make it apply to say a TGI Fridays...

    XD-S Owners?

I have an XDs 3.3" 45ACP and a Glock 30. Love the G30 - its the best shooting 45 I have, followed closely by the XDs. That said, the XDs is the one I carry constantly. I agree with what others have said about the grips and recoil. I solved that problem by using the Pachmayr Tactical Grip...

    Kydex holster and wear marks

I have an .45 XDs with the stainless slide that I carry in a FOBUS kydex. I see no wear to date and I wear it about 95% of my waking hours. I have a .45 Colt Lightweight Officers model that's all blued and used to be carried in a leather Milt Sparks. It shows some wear. al

    In my training. . . .

I can top this: Had a young lady come to work for me back in the late 60s/early 70s. She was the widow of a Chicago police officer who was killed while he and his partner were cleaning their weapons at the kitchen table. One of the guns went off..... al

    Why not Benchmark for 223?

I use Benchmark with 55 grn bullets and love it. Trouble is, I have very little left and have been unable to find it anywhere in the Chgo area. Switched to Varget - like that also - but would rather have my Benchmark back. al

    Experience with Glock compact 45's?

Agree with Teachu2: I've had a G30 for about 3 years now and while I think it's fantastic to shoot, it's kind of a brick to carry. I bought the LaserLyte rear sights for it and am using it as a nightstand gun. Al

how do you guys actually conceal when you carry??

5' 11" and 175 lbs. Carry Colt Officers .45, Kimber UltraCarry II .45, or XDs .45 in FOBUS holster at 3:00 (pretty much gave up carrying my G30. It's a brick). In warm weather, I wear a T-shirt with a short-sleeve Hawaiian shirt covering. No problem. If it gets up to 100 degrees and humid...
