Alright folks. At this point all the guns and the remainder of my property was recovered damage free. I’ll be visiting the sheriffs office and the DA office tomorrow to discuss the criminal aspect of what happened.
He denied to right the civil aspect of it on the spot. I’m going to send him...
Oh i am jealous sir. I've recently moved back into a somewhat rural area and have been eyeballing the 4 inch version as a general purpose blaster around the place. Ratshot for snakes and rats, pretty much anything else for the local....connoisseur of synthetically produced blue hued stimulants...
Ok guys... bare with me here. I'm still a bit hot about the issue and am looking to you guys to be a bit of a voice of reason.
My wife and i have been renting a property for the past year and recently bought a home in a different area. I've moved out all of my possessions except a bunch of...
I don’t even really mind that it failed. It’s a new gun from a new company.. I knew there would still be bugs being worked out. But totally ignoring people who are begging for replacement parts, even offering to pay for them, is absurd.
I messaged one of the other guys that said he was having...
Thanks for all the replies guys. Here are a couple of screenshots from another guy having the same issue on fb and their response. He’s posted again sense then stating he still hasn’t been contacted. Also pics of the broken part. The very rear of the striker/firing pin where it was machined to...
Yes, I do realize that they are a small company. But they are currently dumping effort into producing the H9A1 (aluminum frame) and fairly regularly post to their fb page, yet don’t have the time to return emails to current customers.
That’s not a great way to run a business. Those of us who...
I actually loved the gun. I don’t think it shoots much softer or flatter than anything els with a relatively low bore axis like a Glock or CZ. But I have short stubby thumbs and fingers attached to giant baseball mit palms and the ergonomics of this gun are simply the best I’ve ever handled, for...
Just a warning for the rest of the community.
About a month ago I fell in love with a Hudson H9 at the LGS and it followed me home, my wallet $1100 lighter.
After 400 rounds, a tiny bit broke off of the rear of the striker which now allows the drop safety to literally fly out of the gun when...
Ruger Americans are fantastic value guns.
I’m actually adding a boydes At-One stock, decent scope and brake to my predator in 6.5 Creed for my wife’s long range rig. Very accurate, the action is pretty good, and trigger is pretty good. Both can be improved with minor tinkering.
A fella at the range let me run a few rounds through his the other day. He’s only at 800 or so rounds through his but he also reports no issues.
Sweet little guns. Shoots much better than it should for it’s size!
My USPSA minor load (145gr Bayou Bullet at 900fps) reliably topples steel. Pepper poppers seem like they take half a day to fall sometimes, but one hit will drop them.
Not to derail the thread, but the 20 or so deer I’ve taken with the 308 have all but two dropped as if struck by lightening(Though I also never recovered a bullet.) The two exceptions were that time I discovered behind the shoulder lung shots kinda suck.
Anecdotal evidence can be just as flimsy...
Grab a bowling ball and a 3 ft piece of 1/2 rebar or round stock. Drop both onto grass/dirt from a few feet. Measure penetration.
Obviously you probably can’t actually do this at work but maybe try explaining with some similar analogy that the average guy can envision?
Been there, done that. 686 Pro series with a barrel that was apparently made on bring your chimp to work day. Century has put out better tubes than this. Gun also got light strikes at least once per cylender.
Took 4 months for them to fix it. Admittedly the barrel came back nice. Light strikes...
It’s just listed as 686 plus pro series. It’s not the SSR. Here be a link.

I did the ole primer cup shin under the strain screw last night. I’m going to go shoot a handful of CCI Magnum primed ammo at lunch...
