Black MaJik,
I like the TLR a lot. for the money it is great. About as bright as the Gladius, no lamps to blow or ruin. Long regulated run time.
I put some Duct tape on the bezel as Muzzle blast can ruin the finish.
Just wish Streamlight would use glass for the lens instead of plastic...
Almost all of the manufacturers have an INERT training model in the same sizes they sell live pepper in.
I just picked up a few ASP key Defenders for my wife and daughter. I also picked up the inert cartridges so they could practice and get a feel for how the spray pattern would be.
My only issue with High Noon is the long wait.
If I'm going to wait that long, I'm going to order a true custom holster from Sparks or Allesi.
I can get Galco at 45% off retail so if I want a production holster I'll go with that. You can get a true custom from K&D for less than HN...
TLR is a real nice light.
I've heard a few reports of the finish getting ruined by muzzle blast so I put some duct tape on mine and then fire.
My M40A1 with TLR-1
Interesting thread and debate.
Since my Department only allows us to qualify with 2 handguns and a shotgun I tend to go with a full size duty weapon for on duty carry and a similar mid sized for off duty (same manual of arms), can also be carried as a duty weapon if needed.
In my case it's...
Geez,ould
After reading the PDF, maybe they should buy the Colt name.
Smith has been on a roll for a while now. I hope they can actually make "made in UDA" mean something again.
Kevin done me right on my Steyr pistol.
Nice work and more than fair price.
If the belt wasn't so damn nice I might actually wear it. Instead I'll abuse my less than gorgeous Galco COP belt.
I can live with a scuffed holster, but I hate a scuffed up belt
The Steyr lock has two functions.
1) it's a lock used with a key, if you want to. otherwise just ignore it (I do)
2) it acts a positive button used to release the slide take down lever.
It really is a nice gun. I use both my M and my A1 as duty and off duty weapons. I am waiting on the...
Safariland model 200.
The belt loops are not Kydex though.
It is a steel shank covered in the same material as the holster finish.
The Holster is kydex though.
The Fine Tac finish is a bare kydex holster.
I own both.
The grip angle is the same on the new A1 as the older M.
I find the grip on the newer A1 to be a bit nicer in that it is more stable. The texture on the grip and the flatter sides make it more stable in the hand.
The older M was a bit "slick" for lack of a better explanation and the...
Stick with factory mags.
I have two aftermarket mags for my PD. One works, the other is POS. I have 4 factory magazines that will go with the gun if/when I sell it.
