i would say 22lr is the most common for deer poaching in the USA.

im am of the generation of black plastic stock rifles and nasty blueing jobs they are cheap they shoot good enough for deer/hogs there are way better rifles out there than savage axis ect..but they can be had for 300 out the door so my generation will opt for multiple cheap guns in different...

out of all of them i picked the atr in a 30-06 it is a tack driver as far as the remington 783 i am not a remington guy at all i think they screwed up bad with the recalls and the 770/710 mess i would steer clear for a year or 2 more but thats just me.

i would buy the 10-22 mag i never did like the looks of the charger and i am more of a rifle guy but im sure the charger is a fine gun.
