You need to check out Gunbroker. Just a quick look shows "buy now " prices under $400 for new in box Ruger Presion Rifles in 22 lr and a couple CZ 455 various models for $350-$390. Again NIB. And thats just a quick look. But some of the old target models of different brands might be even better...

They are pure works of art. I'm just not into art.

My choice would be the Winchester Featherweight. I see one on Gunbroker with a buy now for $820. Shipping $25. My dealer charges $25 to transfer. Saving the sales tax (7%), I save $7 overall.

I think many of the great old ones like the Colt Woodsman went away for the same reason the pre 64 M 70 and M12's did, they couldn't continue to put ithe handwork into them and still sell them at a price that their targeted buyers could ever afford. What would a Woodsman Targetsman cost today...

The Indiana DNR, along with several other associations sponsored a Youth Squirrel Hunt this mourning. They had 30 kids and I think they killed close 100 squirrels. A lot of outstanding dog work. When they got back to the clubhouse, they had the kids skinning and barbecuing the squirrels. Never...

What would be required to convert a CZ 550 in 9.3x62 to the 9.3x64 cartridge? Could a riflesmith simply rechamber or would a rebarrel be required?
