Pretty sure I’ve seen this picture before, and I think those are k98’s. Lotta cupped buttplates, which Japanese rifles dont typically have. Also even tho the pic is grainy if you zoom in enough I think you can see where the rear sling mount goes on some of them, and a takedown disc or two.
The...
No matter what i do with my guns or how i choose to store them, i find that it helps if one removes the urge for a child or children to be curious. If children are not curious guns will be less apt to be coon-fingered to begin with.
I had a wooden one from an auto 5 that had shrunk up enough over time that I could actually jam an extra shell in the magazine. Found out the hard way in the field! We coupled it with a spent 16ga hull jammed up in the end of the mag tube. That was several years ago-still does the job.

I was wandering around at a gun show today (out of my home state), and ended up bring home a passel of folding knives. The Schrade 8OT is 1967-ish time frame. It is basically a brand new knife.
The Barlow is the steal. It had surface rust on the side that laid in the box. I gave $20 for...
I ended up with a DAO Model 64 that was finish-challenged (some inventory clerk went crazy w an electropencil) and was in pieces. But it cleaned up great and was mechanically excellent once put back together. No grips, tho.
I’ve cycled thru 3 different grips on that gun-some rubber pachs that...
