    Flying with a suppressor

I wouldn't take that gamble.. It's not wether or not it's a functional firearm, but that it's a NFA item. You're right. The copy. I got in a hurry posting before work, but thank you. REALLY. LOL! Personally, I keep a copy of my stamps ready to go in case I'm traveling with a can. My apologies...

    Flying with a suppressor

Do not try to carry it on, please. You must declare it as a firearm, and it is to be locked up with any other gun in checked baggage. Your tax stamp must remain with you.

    7.62 Suppressor Recommendation

On a whim, I bought the Lane LLC Scorpion King 30Cal can. After everything, I probably have $625 in it. I run it a lot on my a 308, and the combo performs beautifully. Lane is well worth checking out.

    Range Safety

I've seen that one before, and I can't even watch it again! It just makes me sick. What gets me though, is the lack of range safety on the actual line. I've seen a lot of people handling firearms inappropriately while on the line.

Which of 3 powders to use for 7.62x54r?

Of those? I just don't know, but I had great luck with IMR 4350.

    Would you salvage the powder?

If it were mine, I would do as others have suggested. Clean them up, and shoot them. Tumbling doesn't break down powder. I understand the concern, but the myth has been dispelled. You might want to sand off some of the real tough stuff before tumbling though.

    Class III suppressor for HD?

This thread is cracking me up.. Call it a suppressor and it's wrong because it's not in the legal definition. Call it a can, and no one bats an eye. Call it a muffler, and enter a new dimension of shame. Skribs I was going to suggest "expanded hot gas cooling chamber tube", but I like yours...

    Class III suppressor for HD?

Does anyone "know"? No, but opinions are free... Here's mine.. There's more variables to consider before deciding on a can for HD. As mentioned, beef up doors/locks, make yourself a harder target with a security system/cameras/lighting/etc.. In other words, don't invite the gun fight, prevent...

    House/purse carry gun for wife

LOL! I'm starting to think they're joking!

Shooting with one or two eyes?

When I shoot with both eyes open, my left eye tends to go all "Forest Whittaker" on me.

    If you were an LEO...

I would definitely train with a revolver to keep the skill set up, but as a primary? No..

    Revolver shooters are reloaders?

When I shoot revolver, I let the empties hit the ground like it's raining brass. However, after I'm done shooting, I go pick it up. Of course, most folks seem to carefully dump empties into their hand... I once seen a kid in his 20's shooting a large DA revolver, gently dump the brass into his...

    Advice: HD lady gun

Oh, and if she picks out something like a 9, remember, if she can hit with it, it's the one.. 2 hits with a 9 is better than 2 misses with a 45.

    Advice: HD lady gun

When my wife wanted her own handgun I had her pick it out. In the past, she had shot several of my hand Guns, and had good success with several. However, when we went to the gun store, I stepped back and let her choose. The store we went to had gun rentals. She rented several, and settled on an...

How many rounds, on average, to maintain your shooting skill?

I voted the last option because it's hilarious and I believe that it takes more than rounds down range to remain proficient. I'm a big fan of dry fire exercise too.

Coyotes out in force this year!

I seen a big one on the East side of Bartlesville yesterday. He was about 20 yards off the road beside a residential neighborhood. Probably looking for a wiener dog or cat de jour for lunch.

    Handloading the 7.62x54R

On the note of the .308 vs .311/.312 bore diameter.... Dies: Depending on which diameter of projo you need, be sure to check your decapping/sizing pin. You'll need to size the case mouth appropriately.

    Handloading the 7.62x54R

Thought about the recoil buffer, but that's never been my issue at the bench.. I tend to influence the gun too much with my body when sitting. I know it's odd, but it's more pronounced with that AK trigger.. For me anyway. Prone takes my sway away... I did do the Holescreek mod to my gas port...

    Handloading the 7.62x54R

100 yards, but I'm not showing you my other groups... LOL! Seriously, I start to fall apart when bench shooting. I'm tons better when shooting from prone.
