    New CZ75

Went shooting with the two daughters today, partly to break in my 75B, bought this year before the fascists in our state government find a way to make such a purchase impossible. I think the youngest daughter has claimed it. She shot it over and over again, expressing happiness with it's...

    Lemon Squeezer

Iggy, (post 13), that has to be the prettiest little pistol ever. I would in fact buy one should they ever make one again!

    What'cha think?

Here is what I perceive to be the difference. Modern guns are the best we have ever had, thanks to modern manufacturing methods and the best steels and other materials. Even super cheap rifles like the Ruger American shoot amazingly well for the price, better than far more expensive or even...

    Got a windfall, considering a Ruger SR-22,,,

Get it now. Mine is a blast in every way. Bulk ammo is it's natural food. But for God's sake, not the purple....

    Ruger SR 22 Really Impressed

Just brought one home myself, and I hope it works out as well as yours did. They do look really good, and it should be popular with the wife and kids.

Astra 600: Ugly, or Retro Cool?

Retro cool for sure. If you watch any or the original Mission Impossible series, it was always the Astra that the bad guys would pull out to hold Cinnamon hostage. It just looked like a bad azz gun to those Hollywood producers.

Someone talk me in to a revolver. :)

Revolvers....sigh! Wundudnee's comment on the .41 mag is right on. Plus, revolvers are just too darn good looking! That SP 101 on the bottom is chambered in .357 mag, it's built like a brick house, and it shoots very well.

    454 Casull Manufacturers

Freedom Arms are indeed expensive, but the quality cannot be questioned, and the gun will probably never wear out. You will shoot it, your kids will shoot it, and their kids will shoot it, ad infinitum. Very accurate as well. Freedom Arms has great customer service, too. On the other hand...

Revolver Picture Thread of All Time

A few nice wheelguns out in the Nevada desert, doing what they do best. All Rugers, from the top, chambered in 256 Win Mag, a 1955 model Single Six, another Single Six as tarted up by Hamilton Bowen, and finally a SP 101 in .357 Mag, but which I was using to shoot .38 Specials.

the old krylon paint job picture thread.

Black granite base, swamp reeds after that. This made an old tired 870 into something unique, at least.

    starting an ammo cache

When I saw the subject of this thread I laughed out loud! Honestly, most guys that shoot will gather up a "cache" of ammo over the years inadvertently. Especially with .22, you can acquire a ton of it just by picking up a brick or two now and then at Walmart. But seriously, it's a good idea...

Great picture of your guns, and of the snowy countryside. What country would that be in, Estonia perhaps?

What is the last gun that you bought?

Ruger single six flatgate. It came to me from Alaska, and I wonder what stories it could tell.

    kimber 10mm

Anyone have any experience with Kimbers chambered in 10mm? Unbelievably, I just learned they are legal to buy in California, so I could theoretically get one. Any word on how they hold up, or how reliable they are in this caliber? Thanks.

Changed my mind about Ruger Alaskan

I just have to throw my two cents worth into this thread. In my younger years I invested in a FA with a 7.5 inch barrel in 454. Having now shot it for over ten years, I can say that if I limit my shots to no more than 20 at a time to avoid bang fatigue, the gun has actually helped improve my...

Impulse Buy & Range Report - Savage Model 1907

Great post! I have had one of these for years, and my experience is similar to yours, except mine shot pretty well right off the bat. Sights are poor, but if you concentrate they shoot well enough. I rarely see another, so I really enjoyed your post. Never sell it, just shoot it from time...
